DeAndre Hopkins' breakout season nets another team record

Published Nov. 29, 2015 5:22 p.m. ET

DeAndre Hopkins had a relatively quiet game by his standards against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, but that didn't prevent the Houston wide receiver from setting a new franchise mark in the 24-6 win.

Per the Texans, Hopkins broke Andre Johnson's franchise record for the most receptions in a player's first three season's with the team.

The 23-year-old caught five passes for 36 yards against the Saints to top Johnson's mark of 208 catches set between 2003-05.

Hopkins has 81 catches for 1,081 yards and nine touchdowns in 11 games this season.

Last week in the win against the New York Jets, Hopkins became the first player in Texans' history to go over the 1,000-yard receiving mark in the first 10 games of a season.
