Ex-Seahawk Michael Robinson: Marshawn Lynch told me he's not coming back

One day after NBC’s Mike Florio reported Marshawn Lynch was considering coming out of retirement, one of the former Seahawks running back’s teammates shot down the idea.

In a Periscope broadcast on Friday, Michael Robinson, who played with Lynch in Seattle and now serves as an analyst for NFL Network, revealed that he had spoken to Lynch, who said he has no plans of coming back to the NFL.

“I called Beast Mode,” Robinson said. “Record this, everybody, please. Marshawn Lynch is retired. He told me from his own mouth. He said, ‘Dude, I’m not going anywhere. I’m as busy as I’ve ever been.’ He’s in Africa, he’s in Australia, he’s all over this world helping people.”

Lynch announced his retirement during Super Bowl 50 and later confirmed his decision during a joint 60 Minutes/Sports Illustrated segment in June. If he were to return to the NFL, he could play for the Seahawks, who still hold his rights.
