Joshua Bellamy hopes to finally stick with Bears

The Chicago Bears are dealing with an injury crisis at the wide receiver position. The team's top four receivers -- Alshon Jeffery (calf), Kevin White (shin), Eddie Royal (hip) and Marquess Wilson (hamstring) -- are all dealing with injuries.

Each time one of Chicago's top pass-catchers goes down, the spotlight shines a little further into the depth chart. Right now, it's on Joshua Bellamy, a former undrafted rookie who has been cut six times by four different teams since entering the NFL in 2012, according to Bears senior writer Larry Mayer.

"Pretty much my whole career has been like this, trying to find my way to the top," Bellamy said, per the Bears' official website.

Bellamy, 26, was cut two years in a row by the Kansas City Chiefs. He spent time on the San Diego Chargers' and Washington Redskins' practice squads before the Bears picked him up in 2014. Although he was cut from the team twice last season, Bellamy still managed to appear in four games with the Bears.

Still waiting for his first regular-season reception, Bellamy figures to get plenty of preseason reps the rest of the way with so many of Chicago's wide receivers sidelined by injuries.
