RG3 won't be starting Week 1, but he's on the ticket

It’s understandable that no one could have possibly predicted just how completely and horribly off the rails things have gone with RG3 in Washington now that Kirk Cousins is the starter.

That’s including those responsible for printing the team’s tickets.

In an unfortunate case of awkward happenstance prompted by an assumption that RG3 would be under center in the team’s first regular season game — something that made perfect sense prior up until the most recent news — the quarterback appears on the ticket for the Week 1 game at FedExField.

Things have taken such a turn for the worse with the already-dysfunctional relationship between Griffin and the Redskins that reports indicate that many high-ranking officials and several coaches want to move on from the quarterback. Sources have also said that the team discussed trading RG3, the second-overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.

Team owner Dan Synder, meanwhile, apparently will not block a potential Griffin trade and it’s believed the ultimate decision regarding RG3’s fate will be Gruden’s to make. It is unclear, however, whether or not the team has actually and actively engaged in any trade discussions and a deal is not believed to be imminent.
