Saints defenders say Odell Beckham Jr. 'regularly' gets away with pass interference

Odell Beckham Jr. is among the five best receivers in the game today. His numbers are there to back it up, too, as are his highlight-reel catches and 25 career touchdowns.

There are some defenders out there who believe he benefits from officials looking the other way when it comes to offensive pass interference. Among them are a few players from the New Orleans Saints, who were just beat by Beckham’s Giants on Sunday.

“I didn’t like it, man,” said Saints defensive back Sterling Moore, via the New York Post. “It was one of those things where [Beckham] is trying to pull himself through. He does that a lot, and he kind of gets away with it at times. It’s something I mentioned to the refs. It is what it is.”

Sterling was particularly upset because of the two pass interference calls that went against him in the game – one of which helped the Giants drive down for a game-winning field goal. Moore even talked to the officials about Beckham’s frequent push-offs, particularly on deep balls.

He wasn’t alone, either. Safety Kenny Vaccaro added to Moore’s sentiment.

“You can sit here and complain if you want, but that’s just the way it is.”

Moore chalked it up to something defenders simply have to deal with when lining up against Beckham.

“They obviously brushed it off,” Moore said. “It’s something he gets away with pretty regularly. I guess it’s something you’ve got to live with.”

Perhaps this is just the Saints still being angry about an emotional loss despite giving up zero offensive touchdowns. However, regardless of whether Beckham gets away with pushing off or creating separation illegally, he’s still among the best in the league.
