Titans' new-look line produces immediate results

After surrendering 28 sacks over the first seven games, including seven in the loss to the Houston Texans last week, Tennessee's interim head coach Mike Mularkey indicated changes would be coming along the offensive line, as the team continued to look for a way to protect the quarterback.

Sunday against the the New Orleans Saints, the Titans unveiled their fifth different starting combination up front, and finally found the results they were looking for.

The Tennessee offensive line of left tackle Taylor Lewan, left guard Joe Looney, center Andy Gallik, right guard Chance Warmack and right tackle Byron Bell held the Saints without a sack in the 34-28 overtime win. Per the team's official website, the victory marked the first time since a Nov. 17, 2014 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers the team didn't give up a sack.

As part of Sunday's, changes rookie right tackle Jeremiah Poutasi was benched, with Bell sliding over from left guard. Looney, who signed Oct. 20 after the Titans lost center Brian Schwenke to a season-ending leg injury, made his first start for the team.

Only Lewan has started all eight games this year at the same spot.
