Blackhawks' Keith meets moose while celebrating

Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith has encountered plenty of hairy beasts while playing hockey in the postseason.

The Conn Smythe Trophy winner, however, may have met his match after taking a humorous picture with a moose while celebrating his day with the Stanley Cup.

Keith also encountered humans - nearly 2,000, in fact - in Fort Frances, Ontario, as he played minor league hockey there until the age of 15 before his family moved to Penticton, British Columbia.

"It's hard not to be pretty humbled to come back and see this kind of event and the amount of people that came back and have come out to it," the three-time Stanley Cup champion said, according to the Thunder Bay Times. "It's been incredible and a lot of credit has to go to the people who put this on and did a lot of work behind the scenes."

Keith also celebrated in Belair, Manitoba, where he assisted son Colton in hoisting the Stanley Cup.

The two-time Norris Trophy winner scored the eventual winning goal to lead the Blackhawks to a 2-0 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup final. Keith had three tallies and 18 assists to tie Chris Chelios for the most points (21) by a Blackhawks' defenseman in a single postseason.
