The struggling Pittsburgh Penguins could be getting healthier at just the right time.

Veteran goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury and defenseman Kris Letang returned to practice on Tuesday. Sidelined with a concussion since Dec. 14, Fleury was able to face shots and admitted that he was trending in the right direction.

While Mike Sullivan admitted he saw progress with the 31-year-old Fleury (13-10-2, 2.29 goals-against average), the coach also noted that Letang looked good in practice after participating in just three games this month due to an upper-body injury.

The 28-year-old Letang has collected just one goal and 15 assists in 26 games this season for the Penguins, who are 2-5-1 in their last eight heading into Wednesday's tilt against the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs.

"I felt pretty good out there today. I'm not sure when I'm going to be back. It's going to be gradual."
