Islanders' prospect Ho-Sang brings new attitude to camp

New York Islanders prospect Josh Ho-Sang is intent on righting a perceived wrong.

After drawing criticism for labeling last year's snub from Canada's World Junior team as "insulting", the 19-year-old Toronto native has carried himself differently heading into the festivities in Calgary, Alberta.

Ho-Sang let his performance speak volumes on Wednesday as the center notched two assists in Canada's 3-2 shootout loss to Russia in the World Junior evaluation camp.

"The hockey world constantly wants to know what I'm going to say and I'm not looking to make outrageous comments," Ho-Sang told TSN earlier in the week. "I just, I love hockey and I want to play and I believe in myself. It’s nothing more than that."

Selected 28th overall by the Islanders of the 2014 draft, Ho-Sang collected 14 goals and 48 assists in 49 games with the Niagara IceDogs of the Ontario Hockey League in 2014-15.
