Ovechkin misses practice, questionable for tonights game.

The Capitals were without their team captain when they took the ice this morning for practice before their matchup against the San Jose Sharks.

Head coach Barry Trotz told The Washington Posts' Isabelle Khurshudyan that Ovechkin wasn't present in practice due to a "personal matter."

Stanislav Galiev, who was scratched for the Capitals opening game, skated in Ovechin's place on the top line with Evgeny Kuznetsov and T.J. Oshie.

Trotz didn't offer any further information on Ovechkin, simply stating it will be a game time decision on whether he plays or not.
