Published Nov. 19, 2015 10:10 a.m. ET

With Olli Maatta sidelined for three-to-four weeks, the Pittsburgh Penguins recalled fellow defenseman David Warsofsky from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League on Thursday.

Warsofsky scored one goal and set up two others in 10 career NHL contests with the Boston Bruins. The 25-year-old has collected two tallies and four assists in 13 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Maatta suffered an undisclosed injury on Tuesday after he was shoved into an open door on his team's bench by Minnesota Wild forward Nino Niederreiter. The 21-year-old Finn exited the game on a stretcher and remained overnight in an area hospital.

Maatta has collected two goals and two assists this season.
