Team Outlook:
The Giants should have one of the best passing attacks in all of football, with Odell Beckham Jr. entering his second year, Victor Cruz returning and the addition of receiving threat Shane Vereen out of the backfield. Ben McAdoo's offense should produce multiple fantasy producers at a cheap price, which is exactly what you're looking for.
Bye Week: 11
Quarterback: Eli Manning
Eli is coming off the best fantasy campaign of his career, as he recorded career-highs in completions (379), yards (4,410) and completion percentage (63.1). A more pass-heavy system combined with the emergence of an elite threat in Beckham should keep Manning's numbers nice and high, and it's important to note how safe of a pick he is in terms of health, as he's played all 16 games for the last nine seasons. He's an excellent backend QB1 choice that won't cost you a high draft pick.
Running back: Rashad Jennings
While the passing game for the Giants looks good, the running game is a bit of a mess from a fantasy perspective. Jennings is expected to get the early down work, but he's coming off a season where he averaged 3.8 YPC and is now 30 years old. With Vereen taking over in passing down situations, Jennings may struggle to return solid RB2 value this season. This has committee written all over it.
Running back: Shane Vereen
Vereen caught 52 balls for the Patriots last year, and it's easy to see him replicating those numbers with the Giants. While he's unlikely to get many carries or looks around the goalline, Vereen may eventually win the majority of playing time thanks to his receiving skills. This is a situation to generally avoid, barring an injury.
Wide receiver: Odell Beckham
Can he keep it up? Beckham became a fantasy hero last year, as he carried many teams to championships with his dominant play down the stretch. Beckham finished with a 91/1,305/12 line in just 12 games, which is one of the most incredible campaigns we'll ever see. He clearly earned Eli's trust, and there's no reason to think he won't return first-round value over a full season. Some regression from his torrid pace late last year should come, but he's going to get all the targets he handle in New York.
Wide receiver: Rueben Randle
Randle's fantasy value may be hurt a bit by the return of Victor Cruz, depending on how he looks in his return. The passing attempts will again have to be near the top of the league for Randle to be a viable fantasy contributor, but he broke out a bit last year with 71 catches for 938 yards. He'll see single coverage quite a bit, but keep an eye on Cruz in preseason before relying on him to be a WR3/Flex option.
Wide receiver: Victor Cruz
This was once Cruz's show, but now he may be the third option in the passing game after a patellar tendon tear. Cruz may not break off as many big plays as he used to, but he should remain a reliable option out of the slot for Eli and could feast off the outside receivers drawing safety help. He's worth a late round flier.
Tight end: Larry Donnell
Keep an eye on his health throughout the preseason, but either way, don't get too excited about drafting Donnell. Almost all of Donnell's fantasy production came in one game, when he scored three times against the Redskins. Donnell will pick up a catch here and there, but he's not a starting fantasy tight end and should be more of a blocker than anything else this season.
Placekicker: Josh Brown
Brown has a strong leg and has been accurate for the Giants the last two years. He's a safe bet for solid production in an offense that should move the ball well.
Team defense (D/ST):
You can get the Giants D late in drafts, and it's not a bad idea. An early season stretch against the Redskins, Bills and 49ers should produce big points, and the playoff schedule of Miami, Carolina and Minnesota weeks 14-16 is favorable as well.
