Chargers sign offensive lineman Kenny Wiggins

The San Diego Chargers announced Tuesday that they have signed offensive lineman Kenny Wiggins, who has been with the team on and off since 2013. The 6-6, 314-pound guard and tackle out of Fresno State was waived during the final roster reduction this preseason.

Wiggins, who saw playing time in all four preseason games for the Bolts this year, can play any position on the line and is familiar with the Chargers offense having spent time with the team since 2013. Wiggins was waived at the end of the 2014 preseason, then rejoined the team in late December making his NFL debut in Week 17.

Wiggins' signing comes a few days after guard/tackle D.J. Fluker was hurt in Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions with what is believed to be a high ankle sprain. Fluker's timeline on a return is expected to be 4-6 weeks, according to some reports.

To make room for Wiggins, the Chargers waived tight end Kyle Miller.
