FOX Sports Wisconsin Midweek Stock Report for March 30

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 8:58 p.m. ET

Every Wednesday, FOX Sports Wisconsin takes a look at which athletes' stock is trending up and whose is trending down.

In other words, who is heating up (we're looking at you, Giannis Antetokounmpo) and who is cooling off.

With that in mind, let's "take stock" of the current sports scene in Wisconsin.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bucks point guard/small forward

Milwaukee Bucks coach Jason Kidd revealed that he intends to continue playing the 6-foot-11 scorer at the point for the foreseeable future, and it's easy to see why. Antetokounmpo has a whopping four triple-doubles since his move to PG last month, and is averaging 19 points, 7.4 rebounds and 7.3 assists in March.

Ryan Suter, former Badgers defenseman

Suter has been a major part of the Minnesota Wild's late playoff push, grabbing three assists and logging a plus-5 rating over the team's last four games, all wins. A win over the Chicago Blackhawks, Tuesday pushed the Wild's lead over the Colorado Avalanche to five points, as the two teams battle for the final Western Conference playoff spot.

Yadiel Rivera/Colin Walsh, Brewers infielders

The Milwaukee Brewers are giving a pair of fresh faces a change to shine right out of the gate, adding infielders Yadiel Rivera and Colin Walsh to the opening day roster, Tuesday. This is the first time that Rivera has made a big-league roster out of camp, while Walsh had never played about Double-A. "It's a dream come true to be on the opening-day roster," Rivera told the Associated Press.

Eddie Lacy, Packers running back

Don't look now, but those P90X sessions appear to be paying off. Photos of a slimmed down Lacy surfaced last week, following a season's worth of criticism directed at the Packers running back's fitness. Coach Mike McCarthy declared that Lacy needed to slim down following Green Bay's playoff loss to the Arizona Cardinals, and he appears to be following through on that mandate.

Wisconsin men's basketball team

The Badgers appeared to be headed to the Elite Eight last week, before a last-second surge by the Irish sent Wisconsin packing. Notre Dame closed out the game on an 8-0 run over the final 19 seconds of the game, erasing a late Badgers lead as Wisconsin committed 17 turnovers on the night.

Michael Carter-Williams, Bucks point guard

Antetokounmpo's move to the point has continued to benefit the Bucks, but the change puts the future of guard Michael Carter-Williams in question. MCW is on the shelf for the rest of the season after undergoing hip surgery on March 10, after starting in 37 of his 54 games.
