Handicapping possibilities for Coyotes' top draft pick

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The disappointment of not winning one of the top two spots in the NHL draft has worn off for most Coyotes fans. There may be a wince or two when Edmonton and Buffalo announce their selections of centers Connor McDavid and Jack Eichel on Friday evening in Sunrise, Fla., but most of Arizona's fan base moved on to speculation about that No. 3 pick.

There remains the possibility general manager Don Maloney will pull a surprise, but his decision boils down to the same four potential prospects you've heard about for two months, assuming he doesn't trade the pick for additional assets.

Since we witnessed the first Triple Crown winner in 37 years of horse racing this summer, and since we are fresh out of analogies, we've handicapped those four choices (minus the betting odds).
