'Inside the Panthers: Eye for Talent' premieres Feb. 27 on FOX Sports Florida
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- On Saturday, Feb. 27 at 6 p.m., "Inside the Panthers: Eye for Talent" will premiere statewide on FOX Sports Florida following the Panthers vs. Columbus Blue Jackets game.
This all-new episode of "Inside the Panthers" shines a spotlight on the members of the Panthers tireless scouting staff. NHL scouting staffs are divided into two areas: amateur scouts, who scour the globe looking at junior leagues in the USA, Canada and Europe, seeking players who are skilled enough to be considered for the annual NHL entry draft and pro scouts cover the NHL and minor leagues, evaluating players for potential trades or free agent signings.
"Inside the Panthers: Eye for Talent" features interviews with Panthers Executive chairman Peter Luukko, Director of Player Personnel Scott Luce, Professional Scouts Peter Mahovlich and Al Tuer, Director of Amateur Scouting Erin Ginnell, Assistant Head of Amateur Scouting Jason Bukala, Amateur Scout Paul Gallagher, as well as Panthers defenseman Aaron Ekblad and forward Logan Shaw. Viewers will go behind the scenes as we joined Bukala and Gallagher on a trip to Canada while they scouted the Ontario and Quebec Major Junior leagues.
