Let's get graphic: Grandal's offensive prowess

Fair or not, Yasmani Grandal has acquired several regrettable labels during his brief career -- difficult battery mate, Biogenesis cheat, underachiever. But what about potential All-Star? When the Dodgers shipped Matt Kemp to the division rival Padres, they did more than clear $75 million in future salary and open an outfield spot for Joc Pederson -- they picked up a switch-hitting, 26-year-old catcher who possesses rare offensive talent and probably doesn't deserve the bad defensive rep that Ken Rosenthal chronicled in late March. L.A.'s new sabermetric super duo of Andrew Friedman and Farhan Zaidi made plenty of commendable moves over the winter, but getting four years of team control over Grandal while avoiding Kemp's decline phase might be their finest work yet.
