Cleveland Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis gave a Herculean effort to save the day but fell just short.

With two strikes and two outs in the bottom of the ninth of Tribe starter Carlos Carrasco's no-hit bid, Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Joey Butler slapped a liner, which Kipnis did his all to keep from reaching the outfield turf.

After the RBI single, Carrasco showed his appreciation for Kipnis' effort.

The 5-foot-11 Kipnis got up as high as he could but as FOX baseball analyst Harold Reynolds said of the play on MLB Network: "The only man in a Cleveland uniform catching that ball is LeBron."

Butler was the thorn in Carrasco's side Wednesday, also breaking up his perfect game bid with a walk in the seventh inning.
