Meet the Packers 2016: Interesting facts about your favorite players
Training camp is underway and soon the football games will begin. With that will come the inundation of statistics -- who ran for how many yards, in what round was player drafted, what were a player's stats in college and so on.
Since you'll be getting enough football stats about the Green Bay Packers to fill any void you might have, we thought we'd take a look at the lighter side of things.
We scoured through the Packers media guide and came up with some different and interesting facts about a number of players. While your friends are dishing out the number of Aaron Rodgers 300-yard games, you can enlighten them on which player is named after an NBA Hall of Famer, who doesn't eat sweets, which player made the varsity baseball team in seventh grade, whose dad won a semi-pro football national championship and much more.

Davante Adams: Attended the same high school as Jeremy Lin and Jim Harbaugh.
Kennard Backman: Serves as a barber for friends and family.
Green Bay Packers tight end Kennard Backman is a pretty accomplished barber, and cuts the hair of friends and teammates.
Chris Banjo: His best friend is his former high school teammate, George Iloka, who is a safety with the Bengals.
Sam Barrington: Middle name is Kofi, which means "Friday born."
Beniquez Brown: Played varsity baseball as a seventh grader.
