NFL Quick Hits: Colts' Hilton might not play Sunday

Published Nov. 6, 2015 6:41 a.m. ET

Colts WR T.Y. Hilton didn't practice all week due to a foot injury, and is listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup with the Broncos' nasty defense. If Hilton can't go, Donte Moncrief would become the Colts' top wideout, but still subject to a tough night versus either Chris Harris or Aqib Talib. TE Coby Fleener could be a fantasy beneficiary in Hilton's absence.

In other news ...

Didn't Thursday night's game look like the perfect spot for Bengals RB Jeremy Hill?  Too bad he got outplayed by Gio Bernard, and saw TE Tyler Eifert get a bunch of touchdowns. No matter how much the Bengals talk up Hill, we can't trust their backfield to be more than a timeshare. In other news from Browns-Bengals, Johnny Manziel looked pretty good in the first half, but just so-so in the second.

What's this about Bears head coach John Fox saying that RB Matt Forte (knee) is "truly day-to-day?" He's almost certainly not playing Monday night. While the matchup in San Diego looks great for rookie RB Jeremy Langford, I'm a bit skeptical that Fox is going to completely hand over the keys to a guy in his first extended action. Langford is RB23 on my board - certainly startable, but let's not get too excited.

49ers WR Anquan Boldin (hamstring) is TBD for Sunday. RB Carlos Hyde (foot) still isn't expected to play, and the folks at Niners Nation think Kendall Gaskins is the back to grab IF we need one of them. That's actually the case for me in one deep league -- I hope it's not for you.

Remember your byes: The Cardinals, Ravens, Lions, Texans, Chiefs and Seahawks are all off.

Redskins WR DeSean Jackson (hamstring) was limited in Thursday's practice, but it still sounds like he'll be ready to go on Sunday.

The Titans expect to get QB Marcus Mariota (knee) back on Sunday in New Orleans. Mariota won't have the services of WR Kendall Wright (knee), who has already been ruled out. Maybe this is DGB's week, finally?

In other Titans' news, RB David Cobb probably won't be activated until Week 10, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Chargers TE Ladarius Green (ankle) missed Thursday's practice. If Green can't play, Antonio Gates might get targeted 20 times.

Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick might scream in pain every time he receives a snap thanks to his injured left thumb, but he'll start on Sunday.

Dolphins TE Jordan Cameron (hamstring) was limited in Thursday's practice, and his status for Sunday is iffy. Remember when that would have been important?

WR Vincent Jackson (knee) did not practice Thursday for the Bucs, while TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins (shoulder) was limited. Seferian-Jenkins seems to think he'll play, but we won't know for sure until later Friday or possibly even Sunday. He's got a great matchup and is just $2,800 on DraftKings, so let's hope he plays.

DFS notes (salaries from DraftKings): I love the idea of a Jameis Winston/ASJ stack for $8K ... Despite what I wrote above about Langford, at $4,000 he's an interesting play for tournaments ... DeAngelo Williams ($5,500) is a cash-game lock ... The Chargers should be able to throw on the Bears, and they have a couple of receivers with great prices in Gates ($4,700) and Stevie Johnson ($3,200) ... Speaking of the Chargers, did you know that RB Melvin Gordon ($4,000) touched the ball 23 times last week, including five receptions? ... If you believe that the Raiders' D is perfect for a Ben Roethlisberger bounceback, then $6,600 is a great price for him ... The Falcons' DST ($3,400) is a great option against Blaine Gabbert, but they're not cheap. The Eagles ($2,700) versus Matt Cassel can save you a few bucks.

We'll have your questions covered, but can't stress enough that waiting until 15 minutes before kickoff is a bad plan.

Good luck this week!
