All-Star center fielder A.J. Pollock has yet to play in the field, but he already appears to be working his way back to major-league form at the plate as he continues his rehabilitation from a broken elbow.

Pollock played is his first game with the Visalia Rawhide in the California League on Tuesday and went 3 for 3 at the plate with a home run, a double, a walk, two RBI and two runs scored in Visalia's 6-0 victory over Bakersfield.

Pollock, batting third as the Rawhide's designated hitter, hit a solo home run down the right-field line in the first inning; singled, stole a base and scored in the sixth; and added a run-scoring double in the seventh.

Andrew Chafin, also on rehab assignment due to shoulder tendinitis, pitched the seventh inning for the Rawhide, striking out two and retiring all three batters he faced. Chafin has pitched four innings over four rehab appearances and has yet to give up a hit. He's struck out seven and walked one.
