Three Indians, Reds among Triple-A's 'Best Tools' players

Two Cleveland Indians and one Cincinnati Reds' prospects were named to Baseball America's 2015 Triple-A Best Tools list by Triple A managers and coaches.

Cleveland Indians first baseman Jesus Aguilar was named the best defensive first baseman in the International League by Triple A managers and coaches. Aguilar is the No. 25 prospect in the Indians system per MLB Pipeline.

This season with the Indians Triple A affiliate, Aguilar is hitting .252 with a .309 OBP and .405 SLG. In 412 at-bats, Aguilar has 104 hits, 19 doubles, 1 triple, 14 home runs and 70 RBI. Aguilar also had a short stint with the Indians earlier this year where he hit .222 with a .300 OBP and .222 SLG.

Cleveland Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor was also named the best defensive SS and most exciting player in the International League. Lindor, was the No. 1 prospect in the Indians system and the No. 4 overall prospect in the MLB per MLB Pipeline, before he was called up the majors earlier this year.

With the major league ball club, Lindor is hitting .275 with a .302 OBP and .385 SLG. In 200 at-bats, Lindor has 55 hits, 7 doubles, 5 home runs and 22 RBI.

Cincinnati Reds pitching prospect Robert Stephenson was named the best pitching prospect in the International League. Stephenson is the No. 2 prospect in the Reds system and the No. 42 overall prospect in the MLB per MLB Pipeline.

In 7 starts with the Reds Triple A affiliate, Stephenson is 4-1 with a 3.15 ERA and 41 strikeouts in 40 innings pitched.
