Week 23: Fantasy Baseball Two-Start Streaming Pitchers

Published Sep. 13, 2015 8:35 p.m. ET

Probable two-start pitchers:

Streamers to add:

Justin Nicolino, MIA (@ NYM, @ WAS) – This season, on the road, Nicolino is 3-0 with a 0.87 ERA in 20.2 innings of work (0-3 with a 5.86 ERA at home). In Week 23, both of his starts are on the road.

Tim Hudson, SF (vs. CIN, vs. ARI) – Vintage Hudson. In his last start, T-Hud allowed only one earned run and struck out four Diamondbacks in six innings of work. Hudson will face Arizona this week, too.

Ariel Pena, MIL (vs. STL, vs. CIN) – I’m not really sure what to expect from Pena in two starts this week, but his matchups are favorable. First, he pitch against a team with the fewest runs scored in the past week (Cardinals). Then, Pena will face a team that is third in strikeouts in the past seven days (Reds).

Thanks, but no thanks:

Kevin Gausman, BAL (vs. BOS, @ TB) – Boston has scored the second-most runs in the past week (51 runs in six games). As for the Rays, they produced three runs and kicked Gausman out of the game after only 2.1 innings of work.

One and done:

Logan Verrett, NYM (vs. MIA) – Though he only gets one start in Week 23, Verrett can still be a great addition to those fantasy teams who need to stream starters. He has a 1.93 ERA in 23.1 innings with the Mets this season. Verrett has tallied 23 strikeouts during that span, too.

Julio Teheran, ATL (vs. TOR, vs. PHI) – He is slated to pitch twice this week, but I would only advise to start him once in your fantasy leagues. On Tuesday, Teheran’s Braves host the Blue Jays. Toronto has scored 58 runs (most in the league) in the past week. However, he gets the Phillies on Sunday. In his last outing, Teheran allowed one earned run and struck out four Phillies in seven innings.
