The Minnesota Wild have recalled former Harvard goalie Steve Michalek from the AHL's Iowa Wild.

The former Crimson star is set to back up Darcy Kuemper after regular starter Devan Dubnyk was ruled out with an illness.

A sixth-round draft pick of the Wild in 2011, Michalek spent three years at Harvard, going 12-13-3 with a .924 save percentage during the 2014-15 campaign, before signing a two-year deal with Minnesota in July.

Michalek has split time between the Iowa Wild and the ECHL's Quad City Mallards since signing with Minnesota, and is 6-2-0 with a .931 save percentage in the AHL, while owning a 12-8-4 record and a .924 save percentage in the ECHL this season.
