Young Bucks Tracker: March 24 edition

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 6:05 p.m. ET

With two-thirds of the roster born after 1990, the Milwaukee Bucks are a young, growing team. Every Thursday for the rest of the season, FOX Sports Wisconsin will take a closer look at the players that are 25 years old and younger (for the most part, those still in their first four NBA seasons), measuring, highlighting and evaluating their progress.

This is the 18th edition of the 2015-16 Young Bucks Tracker.

A glossary of the advanced statistics used for season totals:

PER -- Player Efficiency Rating: A measure of per-minute production standardized such that the league average is 15.

TS% -- True Shooting Percentage: A measure of shooting efficiency that takes into account 2-point field goals, 3-point field goals, and free throws.

USG% -- Usage Percentage: An estimate of the percentage of team plays used by a player while he was on the floor.

ORtg -- Offensive Rating: An estimate of points produced per 100 possessions.

DRtg -- Defensive Rating: An estimate of points allowed per 100 possessions.

VORP -- Value over Replacement Player: A box score estimate of the points per 100 TEAM possessions that a player contributed above a replacement-level (-2.0) player, translated to an average team and prorated to an 82-game season.

GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO (Age 21, third season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 16.8 points (18.0), 7.6 rebounds (6.8), 4.1 assists (7.3), 1.2 steals (.8), 1.4 blocks (2), 35.3 minutes (33.8), 50.8 FG% (58.2), 20.5 3PT% (12.5).

Advanced stats, season: 18.7 PER, 56.4 percent TS%, 22.2 percent USG%, 109 ORtg, 106 DRtg, 2.6 VORP.

Notable: It was a quiet week by Antetokounmpo's standards: No triple-doubles and just two double-doubles as the Bucks struggled to three straight losses. Antetokounmpo was still plenty good, as evidenced by his 18 points per game and 58.2 field-goal percentage. It's just that he wasn't otherworldly, as many have grown used to over the past month.

TYLER ENNIS (Age 21, second season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 3.5 points (6.8), 1.2 rebounds (2.5), 1.3 assists (2.5), 0.4 steals (1.0), 0.0 blocks (0.0), 10.4 minutes (17.3), 43.2 FG% (48.0), 37.5 3PT% (100.0).

Advanced stats, season: 10.2 PER, 49.5 percent TS%, 18.0 percent USG%, 98 ORtg, 111 DRtg, -0.3 VORP.

Notable: Ennis saw at least 11:07 of court time in each of the four games this past week, with a high of 23:20 in the win over Memphis last Thursday. He was 6-for-10 shooting in that game and scored a season-high 13 points while added five rebounds. The next game, he contributed six assists in 19:47 in a loss to Utah.

JOHN HENSON (Age 25, fourth season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 6.7 points (6.5), 3.7 rebounds (2.0), 1.0 assists (1.0), 0.3 steals (0.8), 2.0 blocks (2.3), 16.6 minutes (18.8), 58.7 FG% (52.6), n/a 3PT% (n/a).

Advanced stats, season: 18.5 PER, 59.1 percent TS%, 18.5 percent USG%, 108 ORtg, 105 DRtg, 0.8 VORP.

Notable: Henson was productive in his first full week after a back injury that kept him out 20 games. He played at least 14:24 in every game and blocked four shots in the win over Memphis. His presence didn't appear to impact Miles Plumlee's minutes too much, so it remains to be see how much the Bucks use Henson going forward.

DAMIEN INGLIS (Age 20, first season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 1.7 points (4.0), 1.6 rebounds (3.5), 0.3 assists (0.8), 0.2 steals (0.3), 0.2 blocks (0.8), 6.7 minutes (12.8), 37.5 FG% (42.9), 11.1 3PT% (0.0).

Advanced stats, season: 8.9 PER, 47.2 percent TS%, 15.1 percent USG%, 89 ORtg, 105 DRtg, -0.1 VORP.

Notable: Inglis set career highs in points (10), rebounds (five) and minutes (21:33) in the win over an injury-plagued Memphis team last Thursday. His production was minimal in the next three games, but at least he's played in seven straight games!

KHRIS MIDDLETON (Age 24, fourth season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 18.3 points (14.8), 3.8 rebounds (1), 4.2 assists (4.3), 1.7 steals (2), 0.2 blocks (0.3), 36.6 minutes (32.3), 43.8 FG% (52.2), 40.5 3PT% (40.0).

Advanced stats, season: 16.7 PER, 55.8 percent TS%, 22.9 percent USG%, 109 ORtg, 110 DRtg, 1.8 VORP.

Notable: Middleton scored 27 points on Monday at Detroit but otherwise scored no more than 13 each game in one of his quieter offensive weeks. He did dish out 11 assists in Wednesday's loss to Cleveland for his second double-double of the year but certainly did not score at his normal clip.

Bucks Fastbreak: Toronto 107, Milwaukee 89

JOHNNY O'BRYANT (Age 22, second season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 2.7 points (0.0), 2.5 rebounds (0.3), 0.5 assists (0.0), 0.3 steals (0.7), 0.1 blocks (0.0), 12.7 minutes (1.3), 38.5 FG% (N/A), 1.000 3PT% (N/A).

Advanced stats, season: 6.5 PER, 41.7 percent TS%, 13.4 percent USG%, 92 ORtg, 111 DRtg, -0.8 VORP.

Notable: With the return of Henson, O'Bryant saw his minutes plummet. Expect minimal usage for him in the final 10 games if Henson stays healthy.

JABARI PARKER (Age 21, second season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 13.3 points (10.8), 5.1 rebounds (4.5), 1.6 assists (1.8), 0.9 steals (1.3), 0.4 blocks (1.0), 31.0 minutes (31.0), 49.3 FG% (45.0), 28.6 3PT% (66.7).

Advanced stats, season: 14.6 PER, 53.5 percent TS%, 20.2 percent USG%, 106 ORtg, 110 DRtg, -0.2 VORP.

Notable: Parker is completing his first 82-game season, after missing most of 2014-15 with an injury. As such, he could be experiencing late-season fatigue that wouldn't be unexpected of a player going through the grind for the first time. His shots, points and rebounds all went down in the past week as he had his first single-digit-scoring game in more than a month.

RASHAD VAUGHN (Age 19, first season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 2.4 points (5.0), 1.1 rebounds (1.0), 0.4 assists (0.0), 0.3 steals (0.0), 0.1 blocks (1.0), 12.0 minutes (21.0), 29.7 FG% (33.3), 30.0 3PT% (25.0).

Advanced stats, season: 3.4 PER, 39.8 percent TS%, 13.0 percent USG%, 82 ORtg, 112 DRtg, -0.9 VORP.

Notable: Vaughn was one and done this past week, playing 20:49 against the Grizzlies before the Bucks sent him to the D-League. He played in three games for the Canton Charge, averaging 7.3 points and 2.3 rebounds in 20.3 minutes per game.

Out for the season
