Young Bucks Tracker: March 3 edition

Published Mar. 3, 2016 1:00 p.m. ET

With two-thirds of the roster born after 1990, the Milwaukee Bucks are a young, growing team. Every Thursday for the rest of the season, FOX Sports Wisconsin will take a closer look at the players that are 25 years old and younger (for the most part, those still in their first four NBA seasons), measuring, highlighting and evaluating their progress.

This is the 15th edition of the 2015-16 Young Bucks Tracker, covering Feb. 25-March 2.

A glossary of the advanced statistics used for season totals:

PER -- Player Efficiency Rating: A measure of per-minute production standardized such that the league average is 15.

TS% -- True Shooting Percentage: A measure of shooting efficiency that takes into account 2-point field goals, 3-point field goals, and free throws.

USG% -- Usage Percentage: An estimate of the percentage of team plays used by a player while he was on the floor.

ORtg -- Offensive Rating: An estimate of points produced per 100 possessions.

DRtg -- Defensive Rating: An estimate of points allowed per 100 possessions.

VORP -- Value over Replacement Player: A box score estimate of the points per 100 TEAM possessions that a player contributed above a replacement-level (-2.0) player, translated to an average team and prorated to an 82-game season.

GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO (Age 21, third season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 16.1 points (15.5), 7.6 rebounds (10.3), 3.2 assists (7.3), 1.1 steals (1.5), 1.2 blocks (1.5), 35.1 minutes (38), 50.2 FG% (44.2), 22.5 3PT% (0.0).

Advanced stats, season: 17.0 PER, 56.1 percent TS%, 21.6 percent USG%, 106 ORtg, 107 DRtg, 1.5 VORP.

Notable: Another week, another triple-double for the Greek Freak, who continues his strong second half of the season. Antetokounmpo had 18 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists in the win over Houston on Monday and followed it up with 22 points in the loss to Indiana. His low point of the week was an eight-point night Saturday in the loss the Detroit, but everyone has a bad night once in a while, right?

MICHAEL CARTER-WILLIAMS (Age 24, third season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 11.5 points (10.0), 5.1 rebounds (3.5), 5.2 assists (3), 1.5 steals (0), 0.8 blocks (1.5), 30.5 minutes (29.5), 45.2 FG% (39.1), 27.3 3PT% (00.0).

Advanced stats, season: 14.1 PER, 49.7 percent TS%, 21.2 percent USG%, 96 ORtg, 107 DRtg, 0.6 VORP.

Notable: Carter-Williams did not play in the Houston and Indiana games because of injury. He struggled in the loss to Detroit on Saturday, committing seven turnovers in 26 minutes. His game before that was better: 33 minutes and 12 points in the Boston loss.

TYLER ENNIS (Age 21, second season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 2.5 points (2.5), 0.9 rebounds (0), 1.0 assists (.5), 0.3 steals (.5), 0.0 blocks (0), 8.3 minutes (4), 41.3 FG% (66.7), 33.3 3PT% (100).

Advanced stats, season: 8.1 PER, 48.3 percent TS%, 17.3 percent USG%, 93 ORtg, 111 DRtg, -0.2 VORP.

Notable: Ennis finished the week with back-to-back DNPs in the Houston and Indiana losses. Before that, he didn't really play much either, averaging four minutes in the Detroit and Boston games. But at least he made a couple shots!

JOHN HENSON (Age 25, fourth season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 6.8 points (n/a), 3.9 rebounds (n/a), 1.0 assists (n/a), 0.3 steals (n/a), 2.0 blocks (n/a), 16.7 minutes (n/a), 59.1 FG% (n/a), n/a 3PT% (n/a).

Advanced stats, season: 18.8 PER, 59.4 percent TS%, 18.5 percent USG%, 109 ORtg, 105 DRtg, 0.7 VORP.

Notable: Henson hasn't played since Jan. 26 due to a back injury, allowing for greater playing time for Miles Plumlee.

DAMIEN INGLIS (Age 20, first season)

Notable: The Bucks recalled Inglis from the D-League on Monday after he averaged 9.9 points and 4.9 rebounds per game in 13 games for the Westchester Knicks. He hasn't played for Milwaukee since being recalled.

KHRIS MIDDLETON (Age 24, fourth season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 18.3 points (25), 3.9 rebounds (5), 4.1 assists (4), 1.5 steals (3.7), 0.2 blocks (.5), 36.7 minutes (41), 43.0 FG% (51.6), 40.1 3PT% (40).

Advanced stats, season: 16.4 PER, 55.3 percent TS%, 22.9 percent USG%, 109 ORtg, 110 DRtg, 1.3 VORP.

Notable: Middleton continues to shoot the ball well and continues to get big-time minutes. His magnum opus of the week was a 30-point performance on 7-10 shooting and 15-15 shooting from the free-throw line in the Houston win, during which he played 44 minutes. When you're hot, keep shooting, right?

JOHNNY O'BRYANT (Age 22, second season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 3.0 points (0.0), 2.7 rebounds (0.7), 0.6 assists (0.3), 0.3 steals (0.0), 0.1 blocks (0.0), 13.4 minutes (3.7), 40.2 FG% (00.0), 1.000 3PT% (00.0).

Notable: O'Bryant played 11 minutes in three of the Bucks four games this past week, grabbing a couple boards but failing to score. He remains a deep bench player for Milwaukee.

JABARI PARKER (Age 20, second season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 12.7 points (22.3), 5.0 rebounds (4.8), 1.6 assists (2.5), 0.8 steals (1.3), 0.4 blocks (0), 30.2 minutes (47.0), 49.8 FG% (56.1), 0.0 3PT% (10.0).

Advanced stats, season: 14.5 PER, 53.6 percent TS%, 19.6 percent USG%, 106 ORtg, 111 DRtg, -0.61 VORP.

Notable: Parker played between 34 and 40 minutes every game this past week, shooting at least .500 in each. Like most of the team, he played his finest game in the 128-121 win over Houstin, scoring 36 points on a career-high 25 field-goal attempts, of which he made 16. He even tied a career high with five assists.

RASHAD VAUGHN (Age 19, first season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 2.7 points (3.0), 1.1 rebounds (1), 0.5 assists (0.5), 0.3 steals (0.3), 0.2 blocks (0.0), 12.1 minutes (12.3), 31.7 FG% (45.5), 32.2 3PT% (50.0).

Advanced stats, season: 4.4 PER, 42.4 percent TS%, 13.1 percent USG%, 86 ORtg, 112 DRtg, -0.7 VORP.

Notable: Vaughn had his best game this past week against (guess who...) the Houston Rockets, scoring seven points on 3-3 shooting. He was quiet on the score sheet otherwise, scoring seven points against Boston but not scoring in the other two losses. He continues to see double-digit minutes coming off the bench.
