The win capped an impressive year for Czech star Petra Kvitova who won both her Fed Cup singles matches.

After losing a five-set thriller to Novak Djokovic in the US Open semifinals in September, 30-year-old Roger Federer didn’t lose a match the rest of the year, picking up titles in Basel and Paris and winning the season-ending ATP Finals in London. While he didn't have as much success at the majors this year, Federer closed the year out strong, showing he still has a lot left.
