Sweet FA as ESPN turn back clock

Included among them Gary Imlach, still minus the magnificent Mick Luckhurst of Channel Four american footy fame, who fronted a 'new' series - A Season To Remember.
The only thing new was that Gary was joined in the studio by Ray Parlour to tell us how Arsenal had lost the title in 2003 - and then proceeded to show us the meaningless last day's action in a show that has already been on dozens of times on ESPN.
Elsewhere this week the FA Cup gave them the perfect excuse to dive into the lucky bag and they pulled out a couple of corkers - and we're not talking about Zoe Salmon and Melinda Messenger here.
Wasn't it a shame by the way about Graeme (please let me be famous) Le Saux sliding out of Dancing on Ice? No, it wasn't, couldn't agree more.
Anyhow back to proper sport and the FA Cup Final of 1988 when Lawrie Sanchez (remember him?) rose like a tin of salmon to score the winner for Wimbledon against Liverpool.
I was somewhat taken aback by Motty's commentary, starting off with Goodyear at right-back. Not Julie, surely? That would be why they were a good Bet then. Ahem.
Alongside him was Jimmy Hill, part-man, part-aardvark, whose opening gambit when Steve McMahon got a dig in the bake was 'he seems to take it right on the chin'. Hmm, pot, kettle and black spring to mind.
Still thank heavens for Lawrie, who made it a Goodyear for everyone with that goal he never talks about.
