Maria Sharapova said her life as a tennis superstar and international model actually was too banal to justify her tweeting about it.

The 25-year-old refuses to follow her tour colleagues and many other leading sporting figures, including her own basketball star fiance Sasha Vujacic, onto Twitter.

Many might enjoy a running commentary from the Russian as she looks to finally land her first French Open title, the one grand slam that has eluded her.

But Sharapova said she will not be providing it.

"It's just too much for me right now, writing texts and tweets. In the course of a day, I write too many messages," the second seed told reporters after cruising into the third round at Roland Garros on Friday.

Plus, she said, her day-to-day schedule is too mundane to be shared with a worldwide audience.

"Sometimes I get bored with myself -- I mean everyday routine things like, for example, eating pasta in a restaurant. I don't think that the world should know or wants to know that I'm in a restaurant having dinner," she said.
