This year or not and why would start with a -- Bert Blyleven is he finally getting into all things are. Blyleven is getting in 287. Wins 242. Complete games sixty career shut outs are you kidding me. A lot of ball over 22 years a lot of wins. He finally makes it then this year how about a professional hitter Edgar Martinez. Edgar Martinez is not getting him -- look he's gonna make a statement for DH has he's gonna make the statement -- DH is need to be in the conversation. It's part of baseball the American League. He has a 418 on base percentage in his career certainly knew how to get on but doesn't have the power numbers and not quite -- again Oliphant. Let's move on -- talk about liberal Alomar some controversy involved here well. Is no controversy except that he should've been a Hall of Fame a year ago he's definitely getting in. This year the only reason he didn't last year -- some voters kept -- -- about for the spitting incident with the umpire respect. They both made up this is the best second baseman of our time. He had range speed power could hit he had the complete package. Best complete second baseman of his error no doubt he's now the Mark McGwire is admitted using steroids quality about it while Mark McGwire is not getting and it number one the admission number two. The admission during a period where he had a 130. Of his home runs. That being said you take -- -- runs the way and the rest of his numbers really. Are questionable if there if he's really Hall of Fame worthy. The power makes you say yes everything else they just say no only one gold glove at first base. Not a great defender but because of the admission anyway. Not getting in at least for awhile let's go on the mound have another -- Jack Morse Jack Morse isn't gonna get there -- he's gonna be the guy next year we talk about like Bert Blyleven looking doesn't have. The late and consistency and ball the Bert Blyleven has but on the other side. In in a shorter time span this guy won a lot of games and was the number one starter in. Playoff world championship clubs and so have to get a lot of consideration but not the ball to get -- how you know Barry Larkin very welcome your days in Cincinnati how about him this year I think Barry -- is twelve months away from getting in the Hall of Fame but he should be in the Hall of Fame now twelve time all star nine times over slugger. Three times gold glove that would have been six or seven and Ozzie Smith knocked in the back and did it of his career. Barry -- the best shortstop without doubt in the -- he will get in the Hall of Fame I just think he's gonna have to wait a year how about the crime dog Fred McGriff he did not get the milestone of 500 home runs -- regrets not getting the respect he deserves Brian. Nineteen years in the big leagues he averaged thirty homers off under an RBI it's. No doubt this is a Hall of Fame player when you talk about Jim Rice being -- you should talk about Fred McGriff being in. Not getting in this year but Sunday I think he gets -- let's go old school back in 84 Tigers and Alan Trammell had terrible again not a player getting him very similar numbers to Barry Larkin I'm a little bit more prejudiced towards buried as I watched him play almost every inning of his Major League career. But I think there is gonna get in first and I think some point down the road Trammell went. Will because the numbers are so close well off real Palmeiro an intriguing gaze for a variety of breeze the front up Palmeiro is not getting in the numbers he's a hall of Famer any 500 home runs and 3000 hits only four players in the history of baseball. Very close to being a hall of Famer but to me falls just shaking -- let's head back to the -- they'll have let him walk rate since mark Raines was the best leadoff hitter in the nationally during his time but my standard again. Is Rickey Henderson. Rickey Henderson was the greatest leadoff hitter of all time. That's why is in the Hall of -- I love Tim Raines. Again a great player. Tell me. He is years away from the -- if he makes it and the meat comes up a little bit short. When you look at the Rickey Henderson standard as far as a halt in Burgos -- final player very intriguing Jeff Bagwell Jeff Bagwell depth when the hall of Famer. Is not gonna get in unfortunately this time around but Jeff Bagwell should. And will he's gonna be treated the most unfairly of everybody in this class because there's a cloud around him for storage yet. There's no positive report there's no mentioned in the Mitchell report it's all allegations from who we don't even know it stirs around his -- This guy was unbelievable. Thirty to forty homers -- 120 RBIs per year tremendous defense of player. Jeff Bagwell like Barry Larkin deserves to get all -- and now. But it's not gonna happen in the case of Bagwell unfortunately it's a cloud. He doesn't deserve to know the legacy of the steroid era continues and we have yet to put a period -- -- and -- great stuff we appreciate the insight.
