And I think historically shot smart that's the guy really is kind of played into the strength of this team by his great guy Joey Rodriguez is doing a great job that's his -- general. He should be on the line -- three and they don't give it to them it's one of those things where I just wanna see the calls made right. I -- -- the correct calls me even if it's at the end of the game. The referees obviously at that point or not dictating the outcome but you have to make the right calls in that sense. A fashion the call right undeniable. Big picture Kentucky lost so much talent to the NBA draft Pletcher what four guys in the first round that was just -- How does this team come together make -- forefront of the final four since 1998. You know I. You we can't give enough credit to John cal part this is a guy a year in and year round is getting the job done. He sought in Memphis now we see that Kentucky and the type of truth and this Kentucky team and is the Big Three are as I would call. Which -- land you know Terrence Jones and of course Brandon Knight. I think they're better than the guys they had last year and that's that's that's a huge -- that's a huge statement considering John Wall DeMarcus Cousins. -- -- so who's now playing with the Clippers I mean. This is are these are really those are high in NBA players and I think this team has little more cohesiveness. And it's -- a little more drive I think they'd listened to coach more than Mateen did last year I think you're seeing. Calipari is coaching style come out and really excel in this NCA tournament lets -- one -- in North Carolina this could have been the final college game for Harrison Barnes could be one and done guy. Undeniable he's got a pro game how well you think you skill set don't translate to next -- why I think he's a pro when it comes down to that prototypical size. And strength and mean he's six foot 76 foot eight swing man. He shot the ball very well throughout the course and -- especially towards the end of the season obviously look at it -- graphic to a ninth today not gonna get it done. But what I saw from him with streaks of greatness. And it's something you wanna see more of can -- that consistency and I think we saw from guys like John ball. John -- the kind of consistently played at a high level. And that's what made him so good so Harrison Barnes Z you know he is streaky at times but it was streaks of greatness and I think that'll make him a top five pick without doubt. Jeremy Leno or without a doubt they wouldn't and what that does is it just kind of it limits what Canada has to do. It gets a really good Kentucky so you've got to get is set to take on Kentucky in the final four what's the key in this game -- what kind of style do you anticipate. Well this style I'll start the style a style that these are two very evenly matched teams athletic long. I think the biggest difference will be Josh Harrelson down low and any. That's one of the keys for UConn is giving him away from the basket you have to find a way to bring the big guy away from the basket you've got a guy like Alex Soriano -- -- down -- who can space on the short short quarter ala Charles Oakley did that jumps at you gotta hit the big guy away from the basket. Campbell walker obviously. He's the key to everything. He's the heated easy -- everything they do on offense and the gift to find a way to keep him protected on defense I mean look at Brandon Knight and who's gonna cover Brandon Knight while obviously. -- is gonna have to match up. You have to find a way if you're Jim Calhoun to protect him on defense. Keep him out of foul trouble is -- it's a very aggressive offensively keep them out of foul trouble. And just just limit the amount of attention he's gonna get. When she went to -- because you need and want off its OK now let's focus on Kentucky in detail you mentioned Brandon Knight. He has not played like a freshman in this NCAA tournament let's -- dug up -- -- result -- forty cap hit or Carmelo Anthony -- Lights out for his first run in the NCAA tournament you know very impressed with what this -- doing especially considering the start yet member depressing game one they want. He's only bucket was the game winner but put that shot right there showed me a lot about Brandon Knight is a guy who wins that game could easily checked out. But he's found his way for one bucket opening round to just take over thirty some points the next games. I'm really just controlling the tempo and this is the kind of guy I mean. It is so much said about John Wall Derrick Rose and those are Calipari guys to tell you the truth. This is the kinda guy I think John Calipari likes more than anybody because he's a leader. I mean he's not just the score he is he controls the tempo controls the mindset. It's as easy looks and if we talk about keys for Kentucky it's going to be Brandon -- creating for everybody else if he can create early. Get to run lamb who's the leading three point shooting -- with percentage in the SEC you can get him going some easy shots early. I think Kentucky -- we talk so much about the young talent on this team let's not forget the big -- you had -- two Josh Harrelson to senior he's been solid this -- that he's become kind of like that I Kendrick Perkins you know Kendrick Perkins is. The quote enforcer. Well Josh Harrelson senior leader out here. You know they give they give Matt Howard. Think of what he's able to do just with -- energy and effort this -- been the same things become like I said yeah fortunately Kentucky which. Is not really known to get physical team and you look at the young talent you know the the Terrence Jones the -- on the outside and Brandon Knight. We forget about these these kind of the the blue collar workers down low and that's what Josh Harrelson Stewart so. He's got to be happy with his productivity John Calipari want the best coaches in all of college basketball but does he need to finally win a national title to solidify the I would hate to say he does. But I think it wouldn't hurt. You know as he's one of those guys where it's almost like there's an asterisk next to everything he does it vacated when I was certainly had an -- it's like guys on steroids -- is that after. And it kind of takes away from all his accomplishments but I think. This team this year shows you what kind of coach -- part of the he gets high level players McDonald's all Americans or better to play. Well I I think when you start in in a much right gorgeous one player -- Campbell walker to me is the most exciting guy I've seen him play forever. He's electrifying he's fun to watch. I'll always smile and played well into the court. That's one guy and I'll give you one more just just I can't -- Roddick -- our -- -- opposite Campbell walker. No slouch no sizzle it looks like he should be doubtful YMCA. Hair flopping all over the place not out or -- Which is find a way to get it done for Butler he's been reached and achieved a mainstay. Out why Brad Cuban descent so much success and she took over. Four years ago and not Matt Howard plays as hard as anybody in the country. A pleasure to watch. To the players that you see on the floor and these guys have no problem playing in a close game and music. There's not much expectation this year for Butler -- really hasn't been you know the funny thing was coming into the C edited the NCA tournament this year they said Butler could be issues Butler. And really not -- but. It's true we didn't expect this from Butler as we saw what they did last year they -- loss Gordon Hayward and -- them big time player an NBA lottery pick so. We didn't expect this from them this year but he seemed to do this team being every year and -- right back in the mix. And he got to give a lot of credit to Brad Stevens and just like last year and again a -- would deacon makes him as a primary enough to take away the three ball from BC yeah. You know it's funny because if TCU was like a North Carolina Kentucky I'd be a little more concern. Because of the depth usually teams like Kentucky North Carolina -- they have little more depth. But believe me you're looking at 606 or 505 on five or six a six game. These are two teams that don't have a deep bench so. Who's gonna get worn out first I think they can pick up the pressure I think Brad Stevens. He watched that game by himself in the locker room -- in his office he watched that game. You that. They're always gonna force TCU and the tougher three point shots at least contested three point shots. With the rotation. Rebound recover I mean these are all things. As simple as that sounds and basic man to man principles that's what Brad Stevens can be -- like the answer to Richard grease board. For the final angle like Florida all over illustrator you talked about experience how much of that help and it's an obvious question here that. Butler almost won it all year ago they got guys like Matt Howard who were. This close to -- his national time you know it it does helping you see that through this there's close games. They they have nothing to lose that that's that's key NBC use the same way. But Butler has a couple guys -- Mack Matt Howard who have been negative experience that they've been at the top they felt what it feels like to lose. In the national championship game and that's something that we go to Butler I don't think you ever expects I don't think you go to Butler built. We're gonna play for a national championship but I don't think you -- you even consider that so they understand where they'd been they know where they would like to go. I think there's just play like they've got nothing to lose and that's key. And Matt Howard's a guy he's one of those guys Mark Madsen you know white guy and not just visited. The stature in the floppy hair and and the fundamentals yeah if it's not just say it's effective. He's gonna do what ever it takes blood sweat and tears to win. And any coaches any coach's dream and anybody who plays against -- it's at the same time though VCU it equally compelling story winning five games to go from the first war. Final four point guard Julie Rodriguez makes this team go what makes him so well what makes him so fact. This is just his fourth and talked about it shop smart Brad Stevens Mississippi dominates the. Tempo of the game he's never heard he very rarely turns the ball over and when he does it doesn't bother. And you see we saw what Kansas they turn the ball over and they got really frustrated. They got really down you saw a body language chart to go this kid joy Rodriguez it didn't bother him one -- two turnovers in a row. And he didn't -- it didn't bother him one bit and he really is shock a smart or in the court. So for VCU playing with that that quick note for. Proverbial chip on their shoulder they need to keep that and having Joe Rodriguez on the floor just kind of maintain that sense of control. Both teams are gonna play very good defense they're gonna put forth all the effort the world because they've got nothing to lose at this point they've they've come about as far as any of those guys could've dreamed up.
