I'm Brian -- pleased to be joined by NASCAR analysts Tommy Kendall getting ready for the race coming up in Fontana California some NASCAR. Heading across the country from Bristol and making the move from a short track to a super speedway how the drivers will be ready for that trip. Well -- drivers and teams you know obviously. Bristol is is all about -- can't overdrive and so -- little bit watch more wide open at Fontana a little bit like Vegas you know so the guys that ran strong there you would expect similar tracks characteristic really heavy on the aerodynamics. But tennis is kind of its own beast though that you did -- the bottom half tracks in together. But but that one kind of drive its own way it's track position really important. Fuel mileage is that -- -- important it might be the first chance for the guys really have a chance to try to save fuel. And everybody -- -- races but that race at any kind of I'm back. You wanna get our -- we can for the levity and and try and picture out cleaner. Let's expand on the nuances of Fontana here in Southern California always conversation about the potential -- drivers going fought a lot. -- it at first it was one group and as that attracts them around it's probably would probably like fifteen years now and so the group gets wider wider and you'll see guys way up top. Way down the bottom and and everything in between so it really makes for some interesting races that aren't they get a little bit of a bad rap but. You've got all the powerhouse teams and do well -- -- but you feel -- parade there. Jimmie Johnson practically on the players' -- and the most recent winner. Kevin Harvick so it's it's all the big heavy hitters going out there and slug it out. In the center. We saw a lot of wrecks and Bristol -- that often happens at the bull -- because it Bristol you expect more drivers to be conservative this week it -- -- I actually thought they were kind of on their best behavior you'd never got to Bristol without some wrecks but I thought that everyone was almost on. Two good behavior there I mean really that's very hot spot he had in. Was fourth in our hearts on a lot of heated tempers at its frustrations. Both Hamlin -- Busch. It's a little bit frustrated by the guys -- problem would be more aggressive this week. Like you alluded to California native Jimmie Johnson's been dominant here with -- win in the last eight years and JJ already with three top tens this year applause. Jack it out one is -- NASCAR's so. How big of a boost do you think that's going to be for Johnson. Heading into -- Well it's funny I think almost he kind of lost him in a way and it released the teams seem to rally together like we usually do and -- -- -- they didn't actually -- -- at all. He's back on the box. Never having been away really and some of the most dominant for. Performances I've ever seen California Speedway where that 48 -- so I think I'd be part of it against the plus that whole team ask them I think -- vindicated with the win over NASCAR. In the quarter. Public opinion as well yeah but you report some gas on it there's there's half the fans that they bit. He can't change their mind he's a cheater and that and so forth regardless of what appeals court says and a half since he it was they were making too big a deal that took it away.
