You know I'd -- like -- fantastic I'm sure mark was fantastic. I it's the showed that directed transcends time mean who shot in the early ninety's but kids today are watching. Maybe that was you know part of my promise they should watch more of it that. At that but with -- are Rex try to coast New York Jets Rex not on hard knocks this year just not interest that. You know what only we we talked about it but we reduced. But you know we just never felt that was right for us this year and and you know I would say yes I mean NFL films is the best I mean it was a great experience would a great experience doing it and and you know what I'm sure the Miami golf civil war enjoyed. You know this year but we just felt that there really wasn't that the -- at the right year for us. If Tim Tebow was not on the roster would you that would that opinion be different. And now he's done what he's doing a roster was -- about experience the first time. No it's fantastic experience and we we had a great time and quite asset that was that was great over. For the New York Jets fans -- many people that didn't. You know I never knew anything about the chip it out at that time it was it was it was right for us to do it I think this time where we're at. You know install a new offense and thanks -- there are a lot of things that went into it. But at the end of the day we just felt that it way it wasn't. You know right for us to do with this year. You have confidence in him stepping into the -- the system right now and being effective. Yeah so. What do you see what have you seen in Tebow they elect. Well number one I think the first thing in the UT CU SA -- a guy that is you know well physical presence and he's 250 some pounds. He just you know he's a rock back there but. I I think he's thrown the ball with more accuracy than now I'm. You know yeah say that you know we chart every every pass and everything else he's he's been more accurate. I think he's picking up the system pretty well. It's not all the way there yet but he's he's up picking it up brand new offense. And then you don't really where. The best thing he does BO or one of -- -- -- great -- he doesn't -- you see him put that ball down underneath his arm and run with it. And obviously when you don't have pads on or anything else. You really don't see that yet but that that's clearly supplement -- But you can do well. As the hype then around him then what you expected coming into this. Yeah I think so be donated and quite honestly I figured you know our teams handle it well. I think -- channel well -- well we ought to you know. -- we we have a plan here and and you know we went ten just to be a football player when he's in this building that. That's what he is and that's what we care about obviously. He's an outstanding young man that hasn't been a great following. And those can be real positives for UT I mean I think people look at them to be negative about parts about it but I think he can be real positive for a. What is it it's so hard wreck that for you to accept Tim Tebow is a genuine good guy it feels like everybody is waiting for him to. Wind up on the back page of the national inquirer Sunday. You know why that's so unfortunate what this country you know I mean some didn't didn't really it's you know. They BA you know why intense people out perfect that nobody's perfect. But I don't want think he is a tremendous person tremendous young man. And you know it. You don't shoot I think anybody would if they had daughters would would love that their daughter meet young man like this. There are you working on obviously a bunch of different packages with Tim Tebow what kind of stuff do you expect to be putting him in this year. Well I think the biggest change for him it's going to be you know personal protector on the punt team and I think that's him you know it's it's going to be hard it's going to be hard for teams -- Russia ponder -- you always have that threat. You know. That the obviously we can take it. And nowhere would west stuff it doesn't matter real traded anyway civil but the obviously would would -- back there -- throw he can run it. And I it does it's gonna have to put your antenna up there -- -- -- -- -- -- rush the the part of the way you've done. And -- like you know some. Some people's suggested that well they're gonna try to run him over was fine since he's 255 pounds and -- you know he's gonna give it he's gonna give it as as much as he takes and I promise you. Has Mark Sanchez handled this this whole situation as well as you think. I think mark has been this has been a tremendous us. If he looked strong he stole the ball. With with accuracy. And he's you know he's got a lot of zip on the ball. He looks really comfortable in the pocket if you looked comfortable learning a brand new offense to looks comfortable. He's a guy that knows this offense better than anybody. Actually takes to grace pride in that. He spends. Hours and hours of preparation and that's so obvious that to his teammates as well so I think he's had a tremendous substitution. What I think happened mark last year the interceptions went up the touchdowns went down what was the biggest issue with him. Well actually the touchdowns went up. But it's just you know be interceptions obviously you know with the turnovers in general. And we you know we -- we fumbled the ball quite a bit and we. And when you know through the interceptions thanks -- -- it. You know what it was it's a team deal opinion you know sometimes protection contributes to it. Sometimes it's it's good -- that but obviously you hit it always gets pointed at the quarterback. But again it's it certainly wasn't all mark's fault that's for sure. You know what's the next you know you obviously have Super Bowl aspirations every single year with Sanchez what's the next stage of his development how to seed what's the next step for him. I we just got to keep women you know I think that's the big thing last year obviously be in a made out of the playoffs wasn't what we wanted. Problem but the other -- man's won a lot of games won a lot of post season games you know on the road four playoff games on the road. You know that that's that there's a lot of guys -- camp you know that have won one playoff games so. This territory accomplished quite a bit in his young career. But again you know he. As everybody is you know Dan Marino never won a Super Bowl but. You know. And I'm not saying a Mark Sanchez Dan Marino but I think this guy when you look at the big picture thanks as it is foresees. Never had a Nazis and I think every young quarterback took a step back last year. How would they may be the exception of by the young man from staffer from Detroit almost every other young quarterback took a step back. I think that was a product of not having an off season. I think mark is gonna take a big step forward. As is this football team in hitting again that the proof will be in the put. -- level conference usually have in your team this year. I actually maybe more so I think we're Brothers confident I've ever been. I think our defense going to be outstanding I think our offenses. You know I think both sides are really gonna complement each other. And then our special teams you don't the anytime you have special teams. Unit led by my quest I think everybody knows it's going to be ago when it almost seems like it doesn't matter who we had field. He's gonna find a way to get these guys -- and and you know I think will be back I think we have a deeper football team manager talent is as young its speed. And I think it's really helped us. On your desk now how open were you to this -- I was open to it there's no doubt when Adam told me about it I was like all I Yahoo! -- read through it -- my goal my goodness. But it was you know it was great it really was one of those you know once this time -- opportunities to work with Adam Sandler and and you know is great and I actually what I really enjoy working with. -- -- and in Todd Bridges as well. The other they were terrific and really don't even know like I Milloy did their Patrick was on there and every you know a lot of guys passes to him and the -- all those people. Because you only have such a little part in. Him been in the movie I'm in the first scene and from him like the last scene so. I had no idea really what the movie was indeed just setup be in the you know if it is it was funny and you know I just that was great that Adam you know reached out to me passed me to do this and and obviously I was excited to do it. Who he calls the genius the genius and in let's let's be real fat bottle has destroyed his Rex Ryan destroyed a Alex he's more uncomfortable with that than answering questions about the humans I can't count -- -- not come up -- not prop up a -- I gotta love it love it lost ninety pounds. Eighty pounds after the lap surgery that's impressed I did -- mangled. Given a budget -- one up -- his wardrobe didn't Rex right credit -- Bravo ninety pounds.
