Though a lot privately with the Redskins and Peyton Manning's injury -- you you knew that something was up. So much so that Payton said it was backup Jim Sorgi get ready to go win which never happens but. Gregg Williams is the defensive coordinator for the Redskins. At any point did you think the Redskins were trying to do something more then just play football with Bateman and. No not not at the time one of one on the field not they're not in the years even afterward has never even occurred to me. The -- and you. Start you know putting two and two together with the all the stuff and then since Phillip -- comments and you know this is you know what we have going on it does make it. You'd think to the Redskins had a bounty out. For Dayton that day. Well that commitment to you know they're got pocket does sound like you know when you would think Matt -- -- -- and then note comments in this is what we. Done. Yeah it makes you think this. But that hit. Was it a dirty hit today. I don't think so I think it was you know penalties have been a problem -- not -- that the time but I would note. Certainly this is something intentional. But again and you. You can't read into. The people's actions on the field you never know but that that's where this thing it's so dangerous when. When you get that being talked about that oh yeah for big hits before knocking guys out of for taking a star player out of the game we've we would do AB and so you. Or did get paid that that's what put that doubt in people's mind and that's why it's so dangerous. What kind of punishment. Do you think should be handed out let me start with Gregg Williams who's now with the -- and what kind of punishment do you think the commissioner will handout. Well again I think it did. Really comes down to how long with this going on how many places that it happened was that. He really involved in and part of and to me you know it's totally different if you're funding it is you know. As opposed to guys that hey I knew this was going on and I didn't but you know that's one thing but -- -- taken part in it. And actually you know putting up on the money to me that that's a whole different category. Yeah I think they're gonna sitting down for games I don't know if you find him but Sean Payton role he's a head coach of what do you think happened to him. You know. Again the a lot of times things can happen you're not fully aware of everything that's going on. But again as the head coach we all kind of were made aware of it is that you know this is something that can't be happening on your team and if you know that it's happening and you don't put a stop to it you you are liable to. Yeah I think that yeah I think that this went all the way to the top that you know Tom Benson knew what was going on Mickey Loomis was told to stop that. Sean Payton you know was was involved in it I think the Saints benefited by uniting the way they've played against the Vikings and certainly Brett Favre. Help them go to the Super Bowl. Well. You know that that was. And then there's the difference between being aggressive and playing football and trying to be physical and trying to hit people. And and try to knock people out of the game and and and there's the difference between that and try to hurt people. Why not the craze hit on Favre at the time he went low. And I I thought that -- it was dirty ignited knowing about the bounty but to me that seem like you know by whatever means. When Kurt Warner got blind sided. The by the -- after throwing a pick you know then I you know there is it just seem like there's something else there when you sort of start to go -- That is that and that's the problem and and I think that's why the NFL has to eliminate this because now you do go back and look at to look at all these things and and say. For what that's something there what was really going on here was this just hit a one. Peter King said 10% chance that Payton could still come back to the Colts have said all along that he's not coming back. Now as we get closer to that deadline for Thursday what he -- happened. I think they're that chance but I know that -- they're talking and try to figure out that the way to go I hope it happens I hope he does end up back with the Colts I think that's where you should finish his career. Probably on the kind of agree with Peter incident -- -- 10% chance and I -- as we get close to depart -- that did it worked out that. You know that's what happens. But you got the Dolphins to get the -- I mean there's gonna be teams that are waiting. But what do you think would be the perfect fit for Peyton. Lot of I don't know if there it is a perfect fit in that that's part of the problem if you don't go back home where you know everything and you know what the situation is you know you could go and that the Kurt Warner in. New York with the time through the Kurt Warner and Arizona going to the Super Bowl is that Brett Favre in New York you know and not have the greatest. Regrets. Brett Favre in Minnesota and you'll have that unknown. And it's kind of a roll of the dice and that's why I think it's it's better going back if you are Peyton and you wanna play -- your brother bought back into unknown situation. -- but he's not gonna win there any he's got to win championships I think that's all that's left for me on just playing ending -- playing at a high level he's not going to be able to do that with that roster. Well that may we say not a bit a win you didn't pick however took a little bit and win this year with. Pretty much the same roster. And so I wouldn't say that it can't happen. You know theoretically can they won a Super Bowl. Maybe not but that I don't know that they were worse in the San Francisco. You know last you know we'll look at what happened but you know and and I have -- -- -- a little bit in the and that's the -- don't go into it that way that they. We can't win here or or this team can win this thing can't yet to do what. You we need to talk to. I don't assume this one. In the last couple weeks but the noted that -- prevalent -- -- Battling to just play or battling his day or battling to go elsewhere. It's not how well number one when I talked I think you need to be really want to play that that's the biggest thing and I think he'd prefer to play there I really do but. Look -- would happen. Oh. Our -- I don't know that's going to be you know medical doctors and everything else than not but. And I hit mine he'll he'll be ready to play in in the fall when they they open up so quest. But if he is going to be out there on the open market he's gonna affect the draft more than anybody because these teams are gonna look at Robert Griffin the third or -- hill and say all right who we take -- Do we go for Peyton Manning like the Redskins have the Dolphins. They need quarterbacks. If if you're going after Robert Griffin the third or -- somebody else or you you're gonna go for Peyton Manning well. Well I don't think there's any question about it than that the market dictate the Spurs do gonna impact several things that is gonna impact the draft. It's gonna. It is who will be the biggest. Decision making process. In the whole cold draft no question. And I look at the Browns I don't know the Browns are gonna pay enough. To get Robert Griffin the third seems like the Redskins will. But. If on the ground. -- I know he got holes to fill but I certainly like a hat I like to have a guy that I know I don't have to worry about for the next ten years with Robert Griffin -- -- Well you look at what Cam Newton did for Carolina Carolina had a lot of people's employees. First down office -- does he comes in and they did -- come out of very dynamic offense because of of what he brings to the table and you make everybody else. Better and I think I'd definitely -- Robert Griffin can do the same thing you know Andrew Luck and do the same thing you have a chance to get guys like that. It's worth quite a bit. Things that in the past few years if you're right on the dad. You know Peyton Manning. The lot off the table and Indianapolis. And Eli Manning has brought a lot of table -- new York and they and they gave up a lot you know to get you but they've won two Super Bowl not. When you're with the Steelers did you guys have bounties. Now we didn't and you know there's always -- bit you know players get together and and throwing. Money in the table its first interception or you know kickoff tackle inside the twenty weren't you know were thrown some money in the pot and that. You know that happens then and I get with the Pirates violation of the salary cap violations but but I don't think that's what people are. Concerned about but I've never.
