And I think there and don't blame you but to me don't place Morse. You give credit to him and a credit goes to Jeremy. -- I want to all the big games I think it's an unbelievable story. They're so happy for him but goals a a couple of others saying this sport's about waivers and everything there's no story here. It is maybe some people been sitting Ortiz. And it. There's things you can see the players. Abilities in particular players -- play the game that up above the rim and all the spectacular things -- more athletes do. But he just a terrific player and our our couldn't be more happy forwards are -- I don't think it's about. Looking to Warriors go to Rockets that obviously -- someone didn't -- sitting there was. That was really really important. But how do you gauge confidence as sharply as your ideas with talent. You're trying to also gauge how will these guys actually get on the floor in game time situations game on the line and that's what stood out for me with Jeremy Lin he's not afraid to make a mistake he's out there playing with a high level of confidence. -- there I think a lot of the players journey to get political. We're -- go into -- draft to -- in the draft you know there are so many mistakes made the draft and are honest mistakes because people we're trying to project with the younger players are going to be. But with him my goodness and so happy for him. -- all the things they -- being involved with the Warriors and I talked to him one time. I've got to press conference when I was up there early. Early this year. The poor decisions even started yet I was so impressed with haven't taken part in the pursuit -- presence about it there and this is really need to. And I was -- struck drive out there and obviously they're going to Harvard. Not playing basketball one of our basketball factories. That makes it even more important -- -- I'd just like it's an incredible wonderful story and people in New York. It'll probably embrace that which he he's going to be there for a long are. Because he's -- he's doing he's clever. I know I'm afraid there and I think it in the day that this is going to be one of the best stories we've seen -- be eight years and years and here. But if you're the Knicks now with Mike did Tony -- he's back Carmelo coming back. Do you now what do you do with this team with -- the way he's -- What are -- -- what's most important winning -- He has made their way and edition -- team they put out this. Goodness is not a team that everyone would be afraid of because they don't have all these marquee names. -- the idea that the league system where if he's gonna make them where I heard of Bodine you read single supply. And I think David did what was best for the league. In terms of making this team viable going forward not taking all these big contracts which would -- for a number of years. It was a it was a tough decision. But at the end of that he as the commissioner you the other owners follow his lead but -- -- -- public preteens are very disappointed trade -- made. I knew he had to go. Is that right tier and you know I'm okay are you sure I'll can -- -- get in trouble I don't get. Into -- you are. I just wanted to make sure Jerry West kind enough to stay with a but I I'm looking at that deal and it if I was looking at what was better for New Orleans. I don't think they got the better end of the deal they had a team that I thought was gonna be able to compete right away and granted Gordon gets hurt. I wasn't sure the commissioner made the right dealer for the entire NBA. Well but again I think -- -- look at -- -- -- pro for sale or trade it's the new owner comes in there but what order they always overdo new owners they want to -- -- -- And when you're putting your own standpoint it's certainly it's something that. I had should be taken into consideration that there and -- -- New Orleans it is franchises have had problems. And I think you get the new holder a chance to build a team the way he wants to do with these people in place. And Eric -- terrific player he's a terrific book. And they gotta they -- starter in this league and some countrymen trade. That you look at try to look at the future. I'll look at the trade that Mickelson made with. With the Lakers and everyone thought that it kind of was such a terrible trade market stalled talks also reported. And they had the foresight to see that and -- just accept traits sometimes you can't evaluate them until two years. I don't know if you follow Phil Jackson's sometimes he gives interviews he did I I don't know if he's done coaching you know hinted that you know made the Knicks that kind of John do you think Phil's done coaching. It hasn't. I would I would hope not. Because I think he's. -- I -- beating any coach are perfect for eating some more and Duke and organize. I just -- I think -- I don't think you should close because he got -- knowledge there. I think one thing I think is so intriguing about him and watching him here in Los Angeles. It is -- his ability deceptive when things are horrible. But it looks like he's just riding an age old with no wood no wait on the water at all I think it's a remarkable trait. It is canes have always seemed poised to I mean -- played very hard they're very organized. Every one played together and that's been a big secret to his success that. In article awful lot of because he's been in places -- a got a lot of talent. But he's also organized a -- -- and helped them win and I would just think that that's something that he should not. -- -- you know I would want one or two things another -- you played in New York in that position ever became available certainly you know. I don't know they would talk Clement talked. But having said that my end Tony with Jeremy Lin didn't look like completely different thing. Does that that some missing ingredients. And it can't watch a team Panama got shot and those receivers look like a Hunter College kid born or. But there's that thing there Jerry he was probably gonna lose his job or at least that was the indication and then you finally this is a system that's predicated on having a -- good point guard. Any didn't have that now he has it and it may take his job there. Well Mike's a great guy OK he's done a good job and you know what I look at. Again Jeremy Lin at what he's done but that's city I think -- Pete they've. -- -- -- I think people go to nick games in one time that the winner came to a really good. They expected them to win and and now they very much like a lot of changes just hope they weren't. I think it was in new feeling there with him ever again I don't want them make them -- well well well but every coach needs a leader this -- leader. And I'll watch him play right now and even looked like he's more relaxed as a coach. Before -- ago I was telling people that when the Knicks are relevant the garden to me. Is a must. Well it's a special place to -- no question about that and what what are. You never set out to see how many points you -- scored again. But did you ever get caught up in you know I got 48 halftime lead but. And they're gonna take the ball all the players and so if you really get to court particularly good. Because we could've gotten ninety.
