Welcome back everyone at the score we're talking with Andy you -- project would men's head basketball coach -- Kelly. Coach Kelly thanks for joining us on the program had a -- in your ninth season and this has been a really interesting year for the lumberjacks four. Almost unbeatable at home. Looking for wins on the road it's it's that that Jekyll and -- mentality that I know it's been kind of a funky thing for your 20112012. Sees what's going on. That we really are -- on -- -- -- take those -- threat out of my mouth we're just such a different team at home vs how we are on the road we've struggled to shoot the ball well on the road. I'm I feel like we've kind of challenge ourselves some of those road games were at Colorado at Iowa State so we really challenged ourselves with some high caliber programs but. That's the most games that we feel like we should've won on the road we just haven't been able to kind of get things clicking. We've got to take your coach like it's big sky season. I'm here it is 2012 let's make that about our -- season and so we really believe that championships are around one on the road. And understand the importance in the -- I -- winning games on the road I feel like the team's focus were coming off a very difficult we -- where he played two great games. And I'll heading back home and it's important for us now to get our our -- back and really focus on and expect. And he talked about some of the tough. Teams that you play in the nonconference part of the schedule back in 2011. But that's never been something you should never shied away from you have traditionally through your previously yours your flight staff. Tried to schedule and you mostly on the road obviously to go out and play. Big time programs. -- houses against BCS schools it's something that you just you're not free to do. There's two benefits to that one is there's always a financial benefits typically those big schools are gonna pay -- fairly large guarantee would help us and revenue into the athletic program. It's as important in tough times. I'm second all it gives a chance for some of these players to play big time school I was. People want to play you know that they USC's or that Big Ten teams are that big big twelve teams we've played big twelve pac twelve Big Ten. We play kind of everybody and so I think it's great opportunity to kind of see that next level. Think it motivate your players and really nothing to lose going into those games they're great venues you know I was stay there over 7000 people at the game. I think it really shows the commitment to women's basketball so at least we large programs. You know speaking of that. You play former big twelve now current and school your flights to Atlanta where people like him actually. Instruments how in the world that you guys get Alaska to come to a big sky conference. Place like flight staff that he almost beat him in double overtime as the top 25 team now. It should get the cornhuskers to come to like Stan Utley and you. It was a tough game you look at bringing back to that game was to spread there at our fingertips through has I think that two things they have a player from Arizona. From down in the valley areas it was a great opportunity for her to -- play in front of her friends and family. And -- Connie -- friend of mine looked at Nebraska and it's a great opportunity for them come out couldn't -- can do some things and so it was. An unusual situation where it's mr. Alex offered to do a guarantee game at Nebraska. Or there has to go home and home and he's just you know any time we can get a team like that intent ought to be finally take that south. It was a great crowd it was a great venue I thought that. Atmosphere was. Exciting and obviously would -- time to pull off that win. You know when you look at -- I've got statue sitting right here in my hands for the season to date. There are more names on the stat sheet that you could possibly count just by looking at like Lance again you can out. The most amazing gaps. The most the largest in the large number of players I have ever seen I think men's or women's anytime anyplace. That you have actually given minutes to -- time on the court talk about that. Depth and what that means to your teacher. I really feel like that's one of our benefits. Were able to play a lot of people. -- at different positions and give people more rest which we have a minute they -- in the past. I think it's really been. Helpful in alleviating some injuries -- Pratt's been out for all of non conference looking for and come back soon. Tyler Stephen Jenkins has been -- making things so as you look at some of the players you've had people that can step up and really take over. I think the depth we have is -- usual I have never played ten people double figure minutes. On a regular basis where I was gonna ask you about it have you ever in your whole coaching experience or even as a -- been a part of the team had -- I haven't I think the quality of it. The thing is I think that in the past you you don't want to drop off their players is not quite ready at the the level the players run the floor. And now it's kind of a coin toss it some and it's kind of struggling one game. Amanda frost is a for example a kid that comes off the -- and can throw in 1621 points for us. You know any -- she's really hot it's great to have -- on the floor. The game where Amy maybe struggling a little bit Tyler stepping up and so he canning hanging -- it a little bit which has been helpful is particularly at the guards. -- get him back to the point of the scheduling Q when you look at the roster also got players from all over the country that play from ordinary person team. You know getting in and and playing those big time schools -- house's. It's probably a pretty good. Recruiting tool for you appeal to showcase this program in areas of the country that you wouldn't necessarily think would be quotable for an do you and you may be getting some results from my right -- It's -- I mean I think Southern California has really become our niche which was unusual because when I got here and not really one or two people from even the California area. I think that that the television coverage that any Jets I think as the number one recruiting thing. That attracts people from outside of you know the Arizona. Area -- know my family from Minnesota watches every game on television and so so much of that connection. For players that want to go away from home appearance to wanna stay involved. I think it really doesn't meet those needs and -- been -- very helpful recruiting people from outside and just the southwest area. -- Kelly good luck get some wins on the road obviously got to win on the road if you wanna win in the big sky conference and it is tough to win on the road in the big sky. So it was you know some of the best year in 2012 I expect.
