I'm Brian Webber pleased to be joined by a box which dot com senior baseball writer Ken Rosenthal previewing the American League central -- the Tigers made it to be. ALCS a year ago and now they that it Prince Fielder to the lineup does that make Detroit the clear cut favorite to win this division. Bryant they are not just a clear cut favorite they may be a prohibitive. Favorite in that division. I just don't see any of the other clubs in the central keeping pace with the Tigers. -- we talk about friends -- the impact you'll have on their offense but really he's just replacing Victor Martinez. And while it probably will be a bit of an upgrade over victory at the Victor was very good last season. The real reason that this team is such a favor the real separated with the Tigers as the pitching staff. Verlander of course at the top of the rotation they added Fister last year Priscilla is only getting better and Max -- a quality starter. -- -- have to sift through their options for the fifth spot but the figure that out in the bullpen as well is very good. Everyone is back and they've added Octavio Dotel to the mix so I really like the tiger's not just in the central Bryant but maybe to win the American League. Duly noted -- Sox avenues skipper Bob had been -- if Adam Dunn as another. All full year to be candid at the plate is this team want to miss the playoffs for the fourth consecutive year. Bryant even if Adam Dunn has a great year they'd be missed the playoffs for the fourth consecutive year. Don't -- -- all on Adam -- those certainly he was a big part of why they spotted last season. Alex Rios has the bounce back Gordon Beckham has the bounce back in the rotation they need more from Jake Peavy. Overall I just wonder what this team is going to be exactly. Right now the White Sox seem to be caught in between they're going young in some places but they've still got a lot of money tied up in some veterans in other places. If everything clicks the good engineers -- radios and done it peavy Danks in the whole rest of the gang yes the White Sox could be very competitive. But I just don't see it happening sounds like an awful lot of yeah it's finally the Royals yes the Royals have a roster loaded with young talent. Is Kansas City ready to contend now war they still another year away. In my -- -- are still another year away and the reason is starting pitching. The offense is among the best in the American League right now top five in batting average on base and slugging last season sixth overall and runs. But you look at that rotation and they're young pitchers have not progressed as rapidly as the young hitters. We're talking about Jonathan Sanchez coming over now from the Giants and Christian being resigned and a two year deal. But there's no clear cut ace here they like Danny Duffy had a huge spring for them and he's the youngster who could emerge this season. But hey they've had some serious injuries as well already. Has a low revenue team it can afford to lose the south or reds Joaquin Soria. So the Royals well they are better but yes they are at least a year away. But at least finally moving in the right direction -- as always we appreciate the inside still forget foxsports.com. Magic covered. All you baseball needs for -- I'm Brian we'll see you next up.
