They are very deep at that position on top of that you look at Joe Flacco he gets better and better each game this is a much more mature quarterback. What we saw the last time out here he's not making the big a date he's got a good enough wide receivers in Derrick Mason and Mark Clayton to make some plays. This Ravens team could be pretty dangerous centering Tennessee for Saturday's divisional playoff game. All right let's talk about the Dolphins now what a difference a year makes a year ago one went. He -- really he was very settled for reporters. Did not let the pressure affect him any inning he remained in the pocket a long time we have president when he had time to throw. A lot of young quarterbacks -- when they have time don't take advantage of it Flacco uses are tremendously today he didn't make a lot of the little throws but he made all the big throw. It's been really special watch him grow develop and wait in in watch this offense grow around him all the let's give LT credit after being a maligned for the way that last year wrapped up in his inability to get back on the field in New England at least he tried to play let's not about Philip Rivers. I still don't understand how made the Pro Bowl with this guy continues to -- You know that the greatest thing it to me about the game the -- just played in little four games leading up to this they were scored about 3537. Point game. In that run that got him into the playoffs tonight or the other night. He goes out in -- to throw for 490 yard some of his best place he had two runs about thirteen yards. They they kept drives going he can sit in a -- to the ball away when things -- there any reliant on a great running game in a deep sense -- play well that tells me a lot about where he's going -- -- that he doesn't really -- win games by himself in he's making great decisions do you think San Diego may have salvaged their season when they fired a quarter Ted -- put Ron Rivera and -- because the second half of the regular season everything's been clicking defensively for the Chargers team you bring -- a great point -- that Ron Rivera's background as -- Jim Johnson in Philadelphia and what Lovie Smith in Chicago. -- he loves to put pressure on the quarterback to -- this year was very good defense we have a lot of times can using offense -- move in out of gaps in the defense that's exactly what San Diego Ron Rivera are doing right now it can use the Colts the other night. What does this team need to do to take the next step in 2009 well I think they've settled in on they're they're comfortable and they're still very solid about the way the organizations run and that is the first tee. Personnel wise they're pretty offensively. -- sensibly they can use some help for John Abraham on the other side he mutated -- a lack of pressure on the quarterback coming down the stretch. And he just would've hoped he would have been able rebounds and because he wasn't able to come back there offensively staggered the whole day. Let's talk about the divisional playoff matchups the top of the Giants hosting the Eagles -- -- again -- spot the teams split their two regular season meetings in the road team. Was -- towers both times he -- what's going to take Philly to win the meadowlands again they will go in the last. I'm the weather in I think that formally they had before the holiday the second time they played in the meadowlands against the Giants they limited. Eli Manning and -- offense to 200 total yards there was no big plays in that game by the Giants. The running game was held -- I think defensively to keep -- low scoring game like they did before is their ticket McNabb I think offensively have to protect the ball out Randy Jacobs has had a few weeks to get healthy do you think the Giants are going to try to win this game on the ground. They're going to have to describe and they have not found it through the air you know of -- last four games all of December of Eli Manning has yet to throw did not throw. For over 200 yards you have to wonder that plus ago -- -- fact that. I think that that they have -- run the ball effectively at times either and that's really limited what they can do in a play action game let's get back to the -- is a nose in the strategy of the Giants missing Plaxico Burress talented -- been the end them differently and he has been removed from the equation always been removed so much during this season. But the same time when he's on the field teams have to respect him not doesn't mean they have to double cover him every time. But they may take a linebacker and want him out underneath the slant route even though they've only got one quarter on the outside the deep sense of going to pay him. These Smith had a tremendous last part of the season Lester in part because he was able to work the middle of the field if you don't have Plaxico or legitimate threat outside it's tough to get those yards and -- Any other NFC matchup the Panthers will host the Cardinals Carolina beat Arizona earlier this year by just four point -- Charlotte. Cardinals look candidly have been lousy on the road this year what do you expect from the one. You know they have been lousy in large part because they haven't had a running game Bryant and the fact that they try to have won these last couple games is given them a little bit. So that rely on other than Kurt Warner when this team does not pass protect well Warner is very vulnerable to cook too. Turning the ball over if -- can run the ball effectively hopefully they stick with that plan that will give them the best shot Carolina look like they're built to win in the post season with the deep into the ground game in Arizona slowdown the panthers' rushing attack like they did against Atlanta you know I don't think of the going to be Carolina at home. I think they have one of the best offensive line certainly in the NFC. At one in the football DeAngelo Williams has been on a tear this -- got a 12 punch with him and Jonathan Stewart. The Panthers do not get a lot of production out of date for a Jake DelHomme that passing game. They'll get three of four big plays the game -- that's it they don't generally throw the ball over 20/20 two times a game when they're on running the football. They're going to try to run the ball a game against an Arizona defense that has had tough times consistently stop the -- intuitively it seems like Arizona -- -- point 8835 points to win a game and they get that done on the road against the Panthers in the play you know this has been their nemesis going out east and trying to get a victory and ultimately embarrassing themselves in the process make it like home take your wife take the dogs take the kids think -- Blake hit it to pillows. Anything you can do to make it feel like home do it because they've got to change what they've done so -- In the AFC San Diego's miracle season continues in Pittsburgh Steelers won the first meeting this year -- the first 1110 game in the history of the NFL but the Chargers have won bowl the previous playoff meetings in the Steel City you -- the Chargers are primed for another road victory I do I do I think you made these these David earlier that the Baltimore Ravens might be the hottest team -- I believe the Chargers have because they've totally turned the tide of the looked at their personalities that team remember early on they were scored a ton of points. Late in the season they were still scored points but the offensively with you with the way you mention -- appear taken over it gave them two legitimate sides of the ball now. But even if he's ready you know he's been knocked around a lot this year we don't know where he is physically he is probably the most inconsistent quarterback that you would expect to have a big year and did it. They're defense has really carried on throughout most of the season even when they're running demons fell down. However Ben Roethlisberger has that big play ability like he's done several times this year he has the ability. In one drive in one series to bring his team back and make them make the difference at the end I have a feeling that's what this type -- games going to be if he's got the ball on his hands he's more than people getting it done. Any other AFC match up its top seeded Tennessee against Baltimore the Titans edged the Ravens TT tech earlier this year but the Ravens seem like a different football team now. How can -- he attack that -- Baltimore. Both on offense is that time were running the ball very well neither offense ran the ball well in that game because of the ball sat up to stop the run both of them have. You know not in this that not great passing game that's going to come down to be in another slugfest and the Titans getting healthier the deep bench should welcome the return -- Albert Haynesworth and Kyle vanden -- for this one would then back. Can you say Tennessee's defense might be comparable to battle Baltimore I don't think so Brian because it wouldn't when a player is hurt to -- to those -- into those these two players were as good as they are. Coming back that first game is different you're not yourself you can't test you can't trust. Your injuries you if you could before so I think. In that regard I'd give the edge defensively to Baltimore I think they've got a lot of big play capability right now. I think Tennessee's going to sit with -- same game plan they always have and those two players despite being injured.
