Really sad about this year's team. You know the last two years of the required a lot of experiences a lot of drama so to speak but. I think our guys stayed focused that is fun to be around and watch them grow up seeing our young guys is an experienced. Take your -- little bit and I think there's a lot of hungry football players. Up and Ann Arbor and I think they're excited I am to get going. Com we have some questions certainly and on both sides of the ball you defensively we know got to play a lot better. I think will be a little bit deeper now we'll have more guys I think radio play our numbers are really down last year and I think got hurt us a little bit. As we went into the season particular later part of the year. We weren't as deep -- not -- deals plays many guys who like. Offensively well we should be better probably a lot more experience and offensive line we've had the last two years. You know -- you're playing the two freshmen quarterbacks. At times we are productive other -- we weren't and that's probably can to be expected that. Those guys should be better. Being in I think overall. -- from a football team we'll have a little more experience as you mentioned we have a lot of guys comin' back but for us the key is -- -- -- -- better certainly play better defensively. In answer some questions we have on both sides of all special teams. Yeah I'm really proud of our staff and our players are staying focused. -- all things -- -- honestly as a citizen and locked quite a few things going on in two years and it's time to two years has gone fast. And at times it seemed like forever. But nonetheless I think we've been able to stay focused and Hingis some things accomplished what you want in building our program. So that allowed opened up for questions and go from there. Got a question and that fact right. -- With that I tapes or seen Denard Robinson coming back do you is there any. Are either than the clear leader for his starting position and it. Do you ideal it's going -- in the quarterback and new season. Kid out out out take an informal poll how long it would take before the quarterback question came out so it didn't take long but thanks raskin. Really it's so it's a wide open competition that was and sprain that's certainly Tate and Denard both got a lot of valuable experience last year true freshman. Take was that enrolled early cellular -- where experience in the offense from spring practice. There also get a challenge from Devin Gardner who's a freshman enrolled early in I was able to go through spring practice. But I'll be held until he won't from the first couple weeks who retained what for spring practice and how they progressed and I thought Denard Robertson took some big steps in the spring. Which is to be expected because it was his first brain. And he's gotten better and as far as learning what we wanna do offensively and and I think -- competition's going to be helping out as I've said this several times it. He our goal -- to have at least two guys every position we feel we can win with and I think we'll have that quarterback that we can have three. If -- can progress and give us a third guy. -- -- compete and feel confident with deposition -- to put us in the previous spot. So that's -- open. I hope this answered by the who'd be the starter of the two guys got the first game it may take a couple games before. Someone clearly separates himself that they did. You've got a question in the middle race. Coach there was a little bit of uncertainty -- into the season at linebacker. There was a lot of shuffling in and out lineup we saw different books during spring practice. What should Michigan fans look for -- this year at the linebacker position and how has coach Robinson taking over the line -- positions full time coach for that. Changed and our outlook for the season. While on the side about Greg -- and -- -- linebackers I think he probably prefer that position since he's coached -- majority of his career whether it's in college earning NFL. And I think we're gonna have more competition there than we've had that's been one of the keys and know it sounds like coach speak T all that. It has been one of our keys and try to develop competition every position released. Frankly not had enough that on either side the ball better linebacker -- we will -- who -- as a senior. I think he's probably have a great year. I think Craig -- played my teacher is a true freshman. As an outside linebacker and had to -- twenty pounds I think he's probably closer to forty to fifty now. And he should be more prepared more some experience obviously he's got a lot of experience there. And then we have Kevin Leach he's played a lot of linebacker I'm probably gonna miss and Gaza conflict over one -- wanna mention this here this weekend. Are here the next couple the next couple days mark -- Jones who's our starting fullback. Any KT means -- coach I'd like to try. Middle linebacker -- I don't make much sense for me move my starting fullback over to a lot of acquisition during his senior year. He obviously got to bring some to move to defense and he has -- for spring practice I noticed not only him. And learning the defense and had the kind of physical presence of just his leadership and I think his leadership is going to be invaluable for some markets -- -- judging from what happens spring he's only right to make so we're gonna have more guys there Kenny Gammons gets an experienced last year. He's he's I don't -- a bit older so I think there's going to be five or six guys that we can count on I don't know I don't know if that's gonna sort itself out like two quarterbacks. And maybe a couple of games that I think we can play more people. In the middle of -- -- -- -- -- -- the spring camp Gordon I'll counts had a really strong spring from what you heard reports you've heard -- anyone had a really good summer. Well I don't know much about has blown summer. Let's from talkin' to some of the players in this on the guys I had the seniors over my house. This past week we got a small senior class which a lot of times is a concern that you want a lot of if you have a big senior class a lot of -- feel good that. Our our small senior class of fifteen or sixteen guys I think you're great group. They understand what's like to be at Michigan they're hungry they're going to be do great job leadership and talk and those guys. They really feel excited about what went on the summer -- -- they did a great job in leadership. They thoughts on the young guys as you -- like cam. That's really prepared himself well and and I think that that there -- ready go again account talking to our guys at the end of spring they're hungry nobody likes what's gone on. In our program the last couple years particularly far as wins and losses but this strange it may sound I think we've gotten closer because of that and you -- -- all the stuff that's happened I think is drawn our staff closest on our players closer and you know they can be ready go but I can't -- again I don't another guy we moved from receiver to defense -- back in the spring in. And we thought he was -- are better performers on our whole team this spring practice. Read it to -- right in front. Marriage I don't know how much interaction you have with the fans felt when you do what is your message then you. Because when we don't win more -- -- are really our fans have been terrific and I know it. -- we have high expectations in this and rightfully so we should but since that day we've gotten. On campus they've been overwhelming positive on that and there's always going to be some. Negativity particular when you don't win but that comes with a cousin with the deal 'cause of the profession I think you understand that nobody wants to win more than the coaches and players. But our fans have been absolutely phenomenal we did you know again -- And have a 1101000 every home game to support we have we go out we talked to different alumni groups has been fantastic and we've yet. The new big house is made his debut on September 4 with that the luxury suite in the club's season. The sales of those we go over well so we are fortunate to be a place where they're very very passionate about football on our fans are very passionate about it and and you want a coach at a place like -- so now we've got great fans and I just hope that we can reward them with more wins and better football and I think that's come. And very. -- Like to get your thoughts on the potential for the of Big Ten championship game and given the the rivalry with -- Ohio State. That he had thought about whether you'd like them in the same division or opposite divisions and it's. He I think that says there's probably like tossed on. You know nobody really in -- in the league offices asked for my kids -- don't I don't expect to be that think they know what they're doing back then though they do. I think it's exciting to have a chance of game potentially. I think you know Jim Delany and and athletic directors of presents us. The Big Ten schools. Only able to be allowed to keep that balance of keeping your traditional robberies is still be allowed to have something new and exciting in the Big Ten Conference and you know from a player's standpoint from a coaching standpoint. -- most of them probably says say they like playing the idea of playing as champs of the game and there's pros and cons I think you look it. You certainly he's maybe say it's hard to get to the national champ should gamer something if you had a chance community and that. -- our league is so strong right now and I think the reputation league is plenty of better and better do they do addition of Nebraska that. Word are very very good spot and I really don't have a preference on. On how they split divisions that do know this and make everybody that. The follows our programs and in Ohio State Michigan State and some are. Robberies who wanna keep those together and I'm sure the big Kimmel who put all thoughts into doing that and how would be. You know I don't know when it's gonna happen Jim Ferrari can explain it to you in the world are excited do not do that that. That's a year down the road I'm not even more about next week I'm just worried about today tomorrow and move on. -- -- In the front while coach speaking of you're right -- game with -- -- struggles so far in the first two years with the but it was much closer last year. I do you feel anymore pressure on healing your team do perform better in that game this year. You know I think that the pressure and everything is is probably. Quite as he sees a lot of coaches coaches always say is personally to put on yourself and F but I really is the truth I think. You know know who outside pressure can be more with the coaches put on themselves I feel pressure just get better every day in practice. And so that the you know I don't know if they robbery games you feel any added pressure other than we just need to play better. In I don't know if you you know can think that far ahead for us as far as you know going into that game we need to limit. More so now because we love lost the last two I think we going to every season like we need to win that game. And not that I think Iannetta -- that that's kind of something that we always field -- always feel that in Michigan always feel -- how state certainly missed an -- they were always feel that it. You know for for myself and our staff. We just know we gotta get better and we get better will compete better. And move when those gains we deserved to win those games last year particular house they game we deserve to win we turned the ball over too much. So that's what they want. Now. The and I'm wondering hey I don't think I understood your response completely to that question about the rivalry game. Do you want to keep playing Ohio State and that regular season finale. Sure I think we need to keep playing them and I think you know again that robberies. Maybe maybe the greatest rivalry in sports. In I think that'll be understood I think again I'm not. I'm just given my opinion I think. The Big Ten and everybody in the Big Ten office. Understands robberies they understand this and they'll build -- figure out where the robberies in stating he had yet you still have compete for conference champs should so. Everybody that follows our program and probably saying that follows a hostage program wants to keep that robbery gone expects to keep that Robert Conan. And will win it when it's played. I don't know I don't know that's as important as that you play every year and that probably will happen. I'm not. I'm just excited about it right for camp this year I'm not been too much thought into that because I won't have any say so. Having it. -- last year you talked about reviewing in getting better as a staff when you look back at last year's Michigan State game that decision to go for the tying and that too in the win at the end is that something that you would. It looked batters at that you would think about doing differently again. -- -- -- know that there's a lot of things is to go back you know and maybe was she had a do over may does this now when I can definitely say we go for the go for the overtime every time. And I've been in fewer times gains before and I've always done same way kick dish or form when he couldn't he got to go to go for too. I was just you know at that game that the time we had a chance time out of four week. You know we're fortunate we ought to have a break to get this thing into overtime and I really felt good going into it. And then win the turnover and didn't stop from so I regret a lot of things with that that -- -- going to be two left in the middle. Coach. Tease us about this stadium your secondary now I don't. And a choice here this weekend especially after it with democracy not enrolling can you talk about where you guys -- rat with that -- -- in developing more younger players. Yeah that we concern with the with some of the guys graduating -- secondary would you message Troy you had a great spring. They go have a great senior year. Jordan Kovacs has. Played we thought played very productively last year as as a walk on. And he's back as well as got some experience. Mike Williams got an experience in the secondary we missing cam Gordon who has not played yet so. Yeah always a little hesitant to anoint someone says hey this guy's going to be great player until that she's doing games but the -- really good about cam Gordon and in his role in the secondary. They got that probably. Gave us more confidence. In the second there's JT Floyd he's he's been program just a couple years he title a bit last year for the first time got some experience but he had a tremendous brain. And he's together we really need to continue to progress of JT Floyd can progressive the other corner. He eventual movie we've pretty solid over there and then the safety position this kind of wide open that's the one position will we may have a few freshman. True freshmen have an opportunity to contribute then that's a little scary to say that but. -- took coffee in the guys we signed that there are smart guys are tough guys and they -- learn quickly can't they maybe don't help us and second here. Next new questions. Well it's okay thank you are officiated.
