Bernie gets the job in in Washington as a coach with the Wizards and he brings me is number two assists in the pick of the time -- 27 years old and and you know he's like against my work ethic and when I was going for the organization then room so he brings new ones and coaches and and then you know again. I told my wife at the Thomas today you know after this contract is over and one -- work here. -- -- -- -- -- It was your next stop to San Antonio after that happens and lost serve for three years and then. After that. With the San Antonio Spurs for three years obviously I've heard a lot about how much Greg Popovich. Meant to you and how much you word. As as head coach from him to sack as a person article about you David. Do you through anyway he was remarkable not. Not only on the floor from a coaching aspect that I learned a lot of them. But all before two and he you know he -- What he believes in there and you know by -- he stands right by the Family Guy he's not a guy you know. You -- a lot of different ways to look at you know you can say that they have an office from. For him till midnight every day and you you might have success all Americans are guys that are. Coaches or me and gave it that operate that way but Papa again it's today. I'm not looking over anybody so you go to work done and go home spend time with the family and he he inner tubes that aspect in this business to me because he has a Family Guy and he does leave not only. Being a Family Guy with with him and his family at home but also in making sure that the integrated within your job what you do to make that. Really part of the culture but he's a guy. May not be the best -- -- -- don't know causes a lot of great at Sonoma but I think our position the biggest thing that you have to be it would do you have to -- -- -- people. And you have a lot of different guys with a lot of different views of how they should be whether it's home for all before and so you have to manage those different. Personalities and pop will make. The best player which is Tim Duncan feel just as important as the 5015 player in vice Versa if they don't -- One is above and everybody knows that if there is a pecking order and you can feel that but. He makes everybody feel included and that's that's -- view would do in terms of managing managing people at this level. And that's why I believe he has he's had -- success we've had. Your first interview over the head coaching job what was the first interview how -- was -- with the Cleveland Cavaliers are limited no life at. When I was in San Antonio went from there to India is such -- -- and in after my first you're in the two interviews. First when I was with the Atlanta Hawks and the second one was with the Toronto Raptors. And very reasonable rate experiences obviously I didn't get it out. But. Thankful for point through them and then when practically to India for my second year and it in the next year I've -- -- -- -- from the Cleveland Cavaliers. What was your experience like with the Cavaliers tremendous success. Trip to the finals. And -- also coaching a superstar but it you know he was a superstar let's face it coming out of high school right on the cover of Sports Illustrated. The -- been quite an experience. They're -- terrific experience and I couldn't ask for anything better especially coaching. Guy like -- at the time you know he was definitely ready you're destined to break out and have some successful not won before on both ends of the floor. He was hunger hunger in him and willing to learn and and so going through that with him at a young age and having some savvy veterans around to help out through the process and Ben -- and -- the -- it's Anthony Parker. Really really helped me out there there were a lot of positives and what time Cleveland obviously. We didn't have which weaving when the championship by we we came close a couple of times.
