My favorite part of being recruited was. When I put my Ellis you have don't come down to -- to Tuscaloosa announce a decision loyalists. Definitely the food you ness monster saving com uses his nose -- them. Gurode to a national championship starts on signing day Alabama loses spot all Americans from their national championship team but the tide. -- -- including top rated linebacker Reggie flatly LHU should be right back near the top. All the pre season polls the Tigers scored that huge to lending scout dot com's top rated quarterback. -- -- Welcome back to count down the signing day job Bryan Webber lore -- -- bought along there -- scout dot com recruiting analyst -- true joins us for the roundtable discussion get in the -- to -- it's -- want. Five star opinions not you okay I like -- start here and Alex I had story mocks I haven't been evaluated against the sending filming. Are subjective we'll take a question by question started -- -- Allen and we discussed under -- surprised everybody in the all by committing to his home state school Indiana. Said he changed his mind he's going to Alicia what happens. Well I think initially he committed because this family wanted to close his brother. Played for the Indiana there was opportunity there but that's -- it went through the process went through the ball you realize there were better options. We'll farther away from -- LSU is one of them it's a good visit down there really enjoyed and I think he made the right choice -- that's the place where they might be the player. Well we forget that LSU does already have a quarterback their exact met burger -- LSU fans wanna see -- can do. Especially after their performance most recently got RQ I think we'll end up in a quarterback battle with met burger in the spring because he doesn't roll early but. I just don't -- forget about the got area there. And as you know based on what we saw in the national championship gave LA -- could certainly use ball that's what killed over the big debt. All I -- state of Michigan putting the other solid classes Bodden put you on the spot if you had to choose between what Urban Meyer is doing what pretty -- doing who would you pick. Critical with the recruiting mastermind that is Urban Meyer and I think Ohio State when it's all said and done is up with some really big time it's -- -- Been in the mix or otherwise he's just hit them. Bites are that we'll come and we're official visits once you get -- in Columbus to get Urban Meyer on and you're talking about some it could -- very strong us. I'm gonna go at Michigan because they're ranked higher in the scout dot com rankings right now Laura I'm gonna back might start -- our rankings. And the I think the interesting thing remembers both of them recruit to their needs I would take Ohio State's defensive -- class over Michigan's but I would take Michigan's offensive line class. Over Ohio State and I think that's gonna set up for some interest in trench battles over the next few years. -- good to see your company guy West Virginia coming off that big win in the orange ball. They're getting set to move to the big twelve floor either one of those things impact to recruiting. Does have a small impact and I think a bowl win never hurts because you can go into. A few pounds on their families you know debatable if it's gonna go in there and say hey did you want to annihilate Clinton a lot of these families a lot of -- that's that's helped the exposure. -- -- -- but Virginia hit himself on them. I this'll be something will be a huge positive for them and recruiting -- -- cup. I agree with the on the exposure part you're great to get a win like that on national television. But I think that house more for next year's class because a lot of the guys in this year's class there's only a small sample there's still uncommitted so this helps with the juniors and sophomores who were watching. Now the move to the big twelve. Holders and has roots in Oklahoma State it allows him to go back to an area where he was comfortable recruiting I think that'll help down the line look back twelve under -- making a splash adding a pair of big name coaches Mike Leach and Rich Rodriguez -- between the two who's out in the war on immediate impact in recruiting. Well right now in terms of immediacy I think it's Mike Leach they've gotten to commitment since he signed on to zero for Rodriguez they also have gotten. Official visits set up for a few of our four star prospect so they're getting big timers on campus. Rodriguez has a few coming into a four star prospect come and -- for an official visit Dakota Cornwell but I think right now my edge goes to Mike -- Yet you cannot Rich Rod -- before signing date because he also has some highs with some big hits. Benefit the second from when you know kids in professional events but at some steals there but really at this class it's been. Those pit -- going potentially to two side not happy in Arizona saint CL -- plays out. Penn State obviously dealing with a myriad of serious issues off the field Laura how is all that impact in what new head coach bill O'Brien is trying to do when it comes to recruit. Yeah I mean a situation like Penn State is so tough for recruiting as we all know I think. For O'Brien time is of the essence here because he needs to get into these kids' -- talk with their families -- their parents hate. We're turning a new page at Kent State and he just says how quiet time before national signing day a final Bryant. I instead focus on the kids that I already have committed try to hold onto them so that you don't lose more than you are -- loss. I think that's what makes it tough is not only do you have to recruit to fill out this year's class you have to hang on for the guys who are already committed when you took the job. In a few of those guys are visiting other places -- resist taking a look at Michigan. Cameron Williams taking a look at Ohio State's -- double duty trying to keep guys on board and had. But jump over the Florida Florida Florida State Miami all coming up disappoint seasons which program is in bad shape to bounce back -- when he to -- I think it's Florida State you have to go back to last year's recruiting rankings. They were at the top of the scout dot com rankings. And a lot of those guys saw the field as true freshman that bodes well for the future they have two quarterbacks gain experience for me. His back and -- so I think they also had a big bowl win over Notre Dame that gives the momentum going into the offseason apple also had a nice ball went over Ohio State and I. Does help then just -- Have momentum like that show people that pay -- don't report today in the Florida state of years past and we'll hopefully is behind me a break. Offensive coordinator they needed to get somebody in their record from the right bounced out Gainsville and this. -- -- That kids are very interested and they want to see if -- a skill position player -- -- gonna get the ball some like Nelson that -- We have ranked very highly on scout dot com could be very intrigued by us you guys a comprehensive from the test the depth of your knowledge is there a school from a smaller conference. Beyond the BCS surprising everybody reporting Laura I think the state of Mississippi if you look at southern miss they. -- made an impact because recent. Got it. Backing him Albert who was very much recruited by Ole miss in the stated they were neck and neck got the commitment has it also three. Our linebacker Richie brown who is looking at Mississippi State Ole miss Tennessee in southern miss is just four finalists he -- period dresses well I think they are showing why. Hey maybe you need to watch out for the little guy in the backyard let's -- -- southern miss Olympic southern Methodist so I think directional Mike Bledsoe and SMU. And they've done a great job this year not only recruiting of their own area going up for the midwest they picked up Derek Jeter a record setting wide receiver in the state of Indiana. Pressed outline from Oxford Michigan whose brother Zach is one of the leading -- is on the team. They also remembered their own backyard they needed offensive linemen they got Seaver Meyer as one of the top offensive tackle prospects in the state of Texas. And so I think in general a pony up I really like what essence he's done so less of you hanging in there despite all the drama surrounding June Jones itself. Absolutely we mention Adrian -- earlier. He left as well that hasn't affect their recruiting class these kids are choosing them for more than just that great stuff thanks so much for the insights unfortunately that's about it the last ward but remember the discussion never rental scout dot com so log on to join accomplished it.
