The Injury Plague of 2013 continues to pile up as it was announced today that Josh Koscheck has dropped out of his scheduled bout at UFC 163 with Demian Maia.

With UFC 163 taking place in the very near future on August 3rd, the UFC has chosen to remove the bout entirely from the card rather than replace Koscheck.

The nature of Kos' injury is a mystery at this point, but after going 0-2 in his latest fights it's safe to say that the former title contender could use a high profile victory.

UFC 163 takes place on Aug. 3rd at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and is headlined by Jose Aldo as he puts his Featherweight Title on the line against "The Korean Zombie" Chan Sung Jung.
