Barnes to undergo eye surgery, miss two weeks

Barnes, who did not make the team's road trip, is expected to miss a minimum of two weeks.
Barnes, 33, sported a bloodshot left eye after Wednesday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies and said he was inadvertently struck by an elbow from Zach Randolph.
His season has gone from bad to worse. Barnes missed all of the preseason and the first three games of the regular season because of a calf injury and later a thigh contusion.
It's personally been a rough start to this season for me, from a torn quad, to a torn calf, to a quad… http://t.co/ZeMJQ9sILt— Matt Barnes (@Matt_Barnes22) November 22, 2013
Last week, he was ejected from a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder and fined $25,000 for pushing Serge Ibaka. He got himself in hot water after the game for a racially charged tweet but later apologized for using the slur on social media.
The loss of Barnes will severely affect the Clippers' second unit. He and guard Jamal Crawford are the team’s primary backups off the bench, and Barnes is the team's best defender on the perimeter.
He has appeared in eight of the Clippers' first 12 games and is averaging 5.9 points and 4.3 rebounds.
Using the Clippers' two-week estimate as a measure, Barnes would likely return Dec. 7 when the team plays at Cleveland.
