The proceeds from the game, which will be against the Chicago Cubs at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium, will benefit the Christina-Taylor Green Memorial Foundation.
The daughter of Dodgers scout John Green, 9-year-old Christina-Taylor Green was killed in a 2011 shooting that wounded then-Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.
This will be the third year the Dodgers have played in Tucson to raise money for the Christina-Taylor Green Memorial Foundation, which funds charitable and educational projects.
Other players who will play in the game include Mark Ellis, A.J. Ellis, Skip Schumaker and Nick Punto. Stephen Fife will be the Dodgers’ starting pitcher.
Players who don’t go to Tucson will play in the Dodgers’ split-squad game against their Class-A affiliate in Rancho Cucamonga on March 28. Expected to appear in Rancho Cucamonga are Adrian Gonzalez, Carl Crawford, Luis Cruz, Juan Uribe, Jerry Hairston Jr. and Dee Gordon.
