Yasiel Puig learns lesson, arrives to park early

Puig was back in the Los Angeles Dodgers lineup Wednesday, back batting second, back naturally at the center of the baseball universe.
Tuesday had just been another day for Puig. Manager Don Mattingly did not start him supposedly for being in a 3-for-24 slump, the first time he was pointed to the bench while fully healthy. Then he arrived to the ballpark over 30 minutes late and was fined.
And to cap off his day, then hit the winning home run with a moon shot after entering the game in the sixth inning following a double switch.
Repentant or no, he was there, stopping to pose with a clubhouse clock showing him on time. It all seemed almost annoyingly lighthearted, but this is how they are all moving on. You teach your lessons, hope for the best, and then ready to teach them again.
Apparently Puig had extra motivation to arrive early Wednesday, beyond being sent to the corner the previous day. ESPN Deportes had arranged for a photo shoot with him and Marlins right-hander Jose Fernandez, a fellow Cuban, on the field before practice.
Regardless, he was on time and back at the center of attention.
