Taurasi signs three-year deal to stay with Mercury

PHOENIX (AP) - Diana Taurasi is staying with the Phoenix Mercury, signing a three-year contract Thursday to remain with the defending champions.

Terms of the new deal weren't disclosed.

Taurasi, entering her fifth season in the WNBA, has averaged 19.4 points for the Mercury. The three-time All-Star and Olympic gold medalist was the No. 1 overall pick out of Connecticut in the 2004 draft.
