Set for big-league debut The Rays called up Lowe from Triple-A Durham ahead of Wednesday's game against the Red Sox, though he may not be up in the big leagues for long, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports. Impact One of the best outfield prospects in the game, the 6-foot-4 lefty hitter has plus power, plus speed and plays excellent defense. He hit .282/.369/.540 with 21 home runs, 24 steals, a 26.7 percent strikeout rate and a 12.4 percent walk rate in 98 games for Durham. While Lowe's skillset is very exciting for fantasy, his situation is not. The Rays already have Austin Meadows, Randy Arozarena, Kevin Kiermaier, Manuel Margot and Jordan Luplow as healthy outfield options while Nelson Cruz clogs the designated hitter spot. Passan's note that Lowe might not be up for long is not a guarantee, but it's hard to see how he would play more than a few times per week as things stand.
