Bills LB says he wears a hoodie in practice to 'hide candy in there'

Last season with the Green Bay Packers, James Jones made quite the fashion statement by wearing a hoodie under his uniform on game days. The NFL has since banned that, which is extremely disappointing.

For Jones, it was a matter of comfort and warmth playing in Green Bay. For Buffalo Bills linebacker Preston Brown, hoodies have a much better use.

Brown, along with several of his teammates, were told by coaches to remove their hoodies during Thursday’s practice in 90-degree heat. Brown was disappointed, but not because he was trying to sweat. He stashes candy in it.

"Everybody thinks I wear it to try to sweat," he said via ESPN. "I just like wearing it because I hide candy in there."

Brown was determined to keep his sweet snacks nearby, so he apparently wore a lighter shirt that still allowed him to hide some candy inside. That’s some serious dedication.

Not only did Brown finagle his way into keeping candy on him on the field, but he didn’t even have to buy it himself. That was a job for rookie linebacker Reggie Ragland and is apparently a thing that first-year players always have to do.

"Everybody goes through the candy year," Jones said. "I had to get it for [Brandon] Spikes and Keith Rivers and all those guys. I think I was the best candy-getter, but [Ragland] is second place right now."
