Henrik Lundqvist slashes price, sells Manhattan penthouse for $4.95 million

New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist suffered a hefty loss on the real estate market, as he recently sold his two-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath condo in Midtown West for $4.95 million, more than $1.5 million under his original $6.5 million asking price. The condo had been on the market since 2014.

According to a report from the New York Post, the buyer of the pricy pad is a foreign national.

Lundqvist's former home includes a chefs kitchen, floor-to-ceiling windows, a 1,000-square foot private outdoor terrace complete with a wet bar and hot tub and an impressive master suite with extensive custom closets. Check out pictures of the place here.

Although Lundqvist might be moving house, he is not moving teams. The goaltender is in the second year of a seven-year contract with the Rangers worth $8.5 million per year and has a no-trade clause.
