Manchester City youngster Angelino to join New York City on loan

Manchester City prospect Angelino is to join sister club New York City on loan.

The 18-year-old Spanish left-back will join the fledgling Major League Soccer outfit when the American transfer window opens on July 8, pending paperwork, and stay until the end of the season, City have announced.

Angelino, who joined City from Deportivo La Coruna two years ago, will join fellow elite development squad player Shay Facey at NYCFC.

Angelino told City's website: "To be able to play in New York is a great opportunity for me and I am eager to get started."
